Had an amazing stay at Catherine’s! We were 7 adults and 3 children under four. Property is very well located. House was large and very well stocked. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Would stay again without a doubt!
Well-appointed home with plenty of space for 2 families with children traveling to London together. Beautiful back garden. Loved easy access to Richmond Park and paths and parks along the Thames. We were very comfortable and happy at Catherine’s home and look forward to coming back in the future.
Perfect Home, Perfect location for London vacation
The home is absolutely gorgeous! The layout is great - wide open first floor living space with comfortable areas for eating and gathering. Opens to a back yard that would be lovely in the right season but even in winter, provided lots of natural light and green views. The kitchen was well appointed although we only made breakfast here - it was lovely to sit and enjoy a fire and play games or read at night after a full day of seeing the sights. There were ample bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of space on second and third floor for family members to spread out. Not only is everything perfectly modern and updated, but so tastefully and beautifully decorated. This home is perfect for a visit to London. It’s very easy to take an Uber or the train into London and return to the peace and quiet of a beautiful home in a lovely area. There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby - all walkable. Our best meals were local (Twickenham and Richmond) - we truly enjoyed walking along the riverfront and the charming streets. Great area - terrific restaurants, cozy old pubs, lots of green space and outdoor spaces. Just perfection. I highly recommend to anyone visiting London. We truly loved our time here and especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations throughout London. Perfect home!!
The house exceeded all our expectations. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us. The 5 bedrooms were excellent. The bathrooms were all completely upgraded and it is rare to find a house in London with so many bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious and great for a few people cooking at the same time. There were so many seating and dining areas, indoors and outdoors. The rear of the ground floor is all glass, letting in lots of natural light. The retractable awning over the patio is very useful when it is sunny.
Catherine was immediately responsive and helpful with any questions. She even secured a crib for for our grandson and got us some daily parking passes!
The location of the house could not be better for access to shops and restaurants in Richmond, walks along the Thames, and fast underground and overground service into London or surrounds. You can get to the West End theater district and shops in 30 minutes by taking the overground to Waterloo. Or, the District line links you to the entire underground system.

Wonderful Richmond!
This location is terrific! Catherine is a gracious host who went out of her way to meet our needs. The home is lovely and well laid out. It was such a pleasure to be able to stay outside of London and come back each day to Richmond. Richmond is just a short ride outside of London with great restaurants and people.
Our group was large with 3 children. The house was perfect for us.
We could not have been happier!

About the host
Hosted by Catherine
Having worked in the luxury hotel industry for twenty years, I decided to take a step back and enjoy the life of a stay at home mum to our four children. Renting the house allows me to stay in the hospitality industry in a very home-grown way. I am delighted to welcome guests to our home and show them all this wonderful area has to offer.
I've lived on two continents and traveled extensively but have found this area to be a little part of heaven and have decided to settle just by the Thames.
Our house is a lively one- there is never a dull moment, as my husband likes to say, but it is a very happy home.
We love to travel, entertain, gather with family and friends, hike, cook and laugh. Not in any particular order.....
Why they chose this property
Located only a short distance from the city centre, this amazingly happy home is the perfect place to retire to from a day in buzzy London. We can enjoy the quiet of the river banks, its charming pubs and restaurants, plenty of brisk walks in the parks and gardens all around us be also be in Central London within minutes. The train station is a mere 10 minute walk away ( there is also direct bus service - only 2 stops- from the end of the street). Richmond is a historical royal town and was once the home to many noble families long before it became home to Ted Lasso and friends. We love the feel of the town, the cricket matches on the Green, the theatre just over the river which offers many West end shows without the crowds or the west en price tags, it is a little gem which we are proud and privileged to call home. With all the local amenities just moments away, there is no need to look any further. The perfect place for a holiday or home from home for you, your family and friends.
What makes this property unique
Fully renovated and beautifully refurbished to include all the mod cons but oozing with charm and filled with just the right number of family heirlooms and antiques. This home is well loved and well lived, it is truly a home away from home.
