The crystal clear Lake Huron water and sandy beaches await you and your group at the Northern Sands Resort. Relax on the beach, splash in the shallow waters or sit by the evening bonfire while gazing at the starlit sky. This beautiful knotty pine 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home has room for everyone! We are not pet friendly - NO PETS are allowed.

The Space:
Northern Sands Resort features 3 full bedrooms. The Master Bedroom features a King Bed. Bedroom #2 has 2 Double (Full) Beds and Bedroom #3 has a Twin over Double (Full) Bunk Bed. The Living Room offers plenty of seating, including a Sleeper Sofa and Sleeper Love Seat. The Kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. The laundry room has a full sized washer and dryer, The Dining Area table seats 6 -8. Enjoy your morning coffee or your evening beverage on the sun porch. There you will find lounge seating for 6 plus a high top dining table with seating for 8. (Due to insurance regulations, the fireplace shown in the photos in not operational)

Guest Access:
Northern Sands Resort has plenty of free parking within the long circular drive.

The Neighborhood:
Area attractions are just a short drive to many shops, groceries, lounges and restaurants. Be sure to visit the Tawas Point Lighthouse, Lumberman's Monument and Wurtsmith Air Museum. How about a canoe trip down the AuSable River or a round of golf on many of the local golf courses? Don't forget the the Mackinaw City Casinos are only a couple of hours away!

Family gathering

Great for family to gather, some went out fishing on the Ausable, others cooked a big meal while kids played games and walked to the beach park a short ways down. Lots of space to spread out. Beautiful sunrises.

Great Stay in Oscoda

Our group had a great time at this property. The beach is amazing! It was wonderful being so close to the water and the night sky was fabulous. Having a firepit on the sand and being able to hear the waves at night, also fabulous. And oh, the sunrises! Be sure to set an alarm so you can see that. The property was nice and comfortable. The sunroom was a great gathering place. The kitchen was pretty well-stocked. Note to other travelers - only bath towels were provided, no washcloths and only 2 hand towels. In the kitchen, only two kitchen towels, no dishrags. Also, no salt and pepper in the kitchen. So be prepared! We have already booked our stay for 2023. Looking forward to returning to the Sunrise Side!

Perfect stay for our family

This property was perfect for us. Our parents had a place that was very similar to this and we just loved it. Great for family meals, gathering outdoors and evening bonfires. Lots of chairs and modern kitchen and living room conveniences. Unless there were lots of kids, I can’t see how it could sleep 12, though. The views were great. It was too cold to swim but it would be a super summer getaway for sure.

Golf outing

Nice location and property. Slept 6 comfortably. Fire pit on the beach was a nice extra. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway!

We had a VERY relaxing time at the Resort! The place was spacious and had plenty of comfortable beds! Any concerns were handled immediately by Al! Good communication! The beach was fabulous to walk on. Be sure to bring extra paper products with you! (Especially for the kitchen) This WAS mentioned in the welcome email to us and we’re glad we brought stuff. We would definitely come back again. Thanks Al.
