This was such a cute little cabin. Please know that the pirmary bedroom is just a bed in a room without much room for anything else. This was more than fine for me. The view of the lake and sitting out of the dock was wonderful, beautiful, and relaxing.
A lovely cottage on a beautiful lake without having to drive hours away from the city. The cottage had everything we needed for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment.
Great place inside and out for making memories with the grandkids. Clean and stocked with everything we needed, plus. The beach is perfect for playing in the sand or in the water. We enjoyed each day. Thank you for hosting us
The location is SO great! The check out process is so smooth compared to others we have rented, it felt like it was OURS when we were there. Obviously small but so well thought out and has all you need!
I stayed here with my son and daughter. We were in town for Karl Oskar days and we had the perfect accommodations for fun, relaxation and location. The cottage is cozy and decorated beautifully. We can’t wait to come back again.
Absolutely stunning home and view. Our kids loved fishing and taking the paddle boat out to the middle of the lake in order to jump off. We just got home today and I already want to go back :)
This cabin is even more gorgeous than the pictures show. Unbelievably clean, every amenity you could need, decorated beautifully. The deck overlooking the lake was gorgeous, sun sets right in front of you!! I would without a doubt 100% recommend this cabin to anyone!!

Very stylish and smart design. However the abundance of cobwebs was too much. I believe cabins and homes in general can have this especially at this season but I’ve not seen this level in other rentals. Most disappointing were the beds. The bunks were uncomfortable and the full size bed, lumpy and none of us slept well. We left a day early.
The property is even better than shown in pictures. It is clean and so cute; you truly feel you are at your lake getaway. It is small but packs a lot of punch with everything you need. You really can't get any closer to the lake, and the entry to the lake was pretty clear and smooth. Most incredible sunsets ever! Only a couple miles to town if you want to go out.
Absolutely perfect. My husband and I stayed with our toddler... This little renovated boathouse is delightful. The location is perfect— the dock is super charming, lake is lovely, and sunsets are gorgeous. Host pays attention to every detail inside. We will most definitely book again.
This lakeside cabin is perfect for two - and could stretch to 4. It is on a skinny peninsula that give you access to both a sunrise and sunset view and east/west lake access. The canoe and paddle boat are available and are all you need to see some beaver, loons, turtle, and eagles. 45 minutes from the city and 10 minutes from restaurants and small towns. We had a great time.
This is a beautiful cottage and the owners took expert care to assure all the guest needs were met. We have two children under 6 and they loved their bedroom and all the thought which went into creating a space just for them. The water was shallow enough around the dock that I could let them swim without worry. All of the amenities were high-end, including linens, kitchen appliances and the Weber grill. We had brought beach toys for the kids, but next time there is no need, they had sand toys, chairs and life vests-basically any outdoor equipment needed for a lakehouse. The owners were also very responsive to all my pre-trip questions and no need to contact after arrival, because all was just as described.
Good, though lacking on amenities and not completely functional for our small family
Pros: beautiful lake view, nice interior aesthetics, great sand beach for the kids, good swimming for the little ones, great paddle boat and canoe, good deck. Nice living room and kitchen space.
Cons: We are average size people and were not able to walk around the bed in the main bedroom without hitting the wall and the bed at the same time. The bathroom is tiny, and the shower is tinier (and no tub, as indicated). We have a 3 year old, so holding her in the shower with one of us was near impossible, and it was very necessary after lake swimming. We left a night early so we could get clean! There were less amenities then places we've stayed for the same price. The posting says that shampoo and soaps are provided, but there was no shampoo, and only a half a bottle of hand soap (not enough for a family for 4 days!) provided for us. Other places we've stayed have left some sanitizing wipes and coffee. It was decently clean, however, could have been more. I know it is a beach house, but the chairs and kitchen benches could have been wiped down more (perhaps a wipeable material could be used), as you could see the dirt and stains at this point in the summer. The patio door had lots of fingerprints on it. I am high maintenance, but I am sure others are as well, so I wanted to note all this. I also messaged the owner several times before our stay requesting that decorative pillows and throws be removed before our stay for cleanliness sake, but the request was ignored.
As noted in description: no freezer, no dishwasher, no stovetop. This probably would have been more okay had we not been in COVID times and wanting to avoid restaurants. Do make sure the fridge is turned to an appropriate degree when you arrive. We didn't know it had been turned down all the way before our stay and had to throw out a small fridge full of food the next day because it was all warm.

Lovely setting; not exactly what we thought
In total, we enjoyed our stay. The good: the property is clean and has clean/white bedding and towels, there are lovely glass windows looking out to the lake, and very cute interior decor. There are plenty of sweet and nice elements to the space.
The things that I wish I’d have known:
The property is a guest house roughly 20’ from the main property which is currently being built (you kind of get the feeling this rental is funding the construction -when we arrived on Thurs. the building crew was just leaving which was a little awkward). It felt important to share because I do like to know if a rental property is next to a main house (even though we’re just late-30s professors who are there to read and swim, not party). We really enjoyed the space as two people but for future renters, it’s very hard to image more than two people in the space. We’ve stayed in tiny homes before and are small -sized humans but the primary bedroom cannot hold any piece of luggage - is exactly the size of the bed (the bedside table is 6” wide) so we literally had to put our luggage in the second bedroom. If that room were occupied I truly do not know where else you would store your suitcase besides the living room (we had two carry-on size suitcases plus one tote purse -just the purse would have stopped you from being able to walk around the bed). The grill unfortunately didn’t work for us (did not get hot) but that wasn’t a big deal and we didn’t bother to reach out to the hosts who I’m sure would have resolved it. The general feel was great location, stellar interior design, great photos for VRBO, and then everything else fell apart a bit (minimal outdoor furniture that was rusted and faded, building materials strewn, no stove in kitchen, no beach towels, no coffee or trial shampoo on site). Probably the worst was a repair man walked through the property in the middle of the day on Friday to fix the boat? -no one let us know he was coming). He wandered around the property for a while which was uncomfortable. In sum, I’m not sure if they hired someone to create the interior but it was a very disconnected feel from the interior wine cooler/linen throws to the actual full experience. If it were less costly maybe that would have been more understandable but for three hundred a night, I really do wish I’d had somewhere nice to sit outside and had not had someone walking through the property 2/3 days we were there. I hope these things are improved for future guests!
Very nice location and cute cabin. We were a group of three old friends and had a wonderful time. The owner of the cabin was very friendly and lent us an umbrella for a potential rain and also brought us a bottle of wine another day. Unfortunately the paddle boat was out of commission.
The property was clean, well decorated, small but extremely comfortable, and I had no complaints. The manager communicated with me promptly and check in and out were simple. I would recommend this cabin to others and will look forward to staying here again in the future.
Rented this property for family here celebrating a birthday party. It was very cozy and they enjoyed their stay. The only issue they commented on was the fact that it was a very dark walk back to the house and porch light didn't work so they had to use their flashlights from their phones to get to the house.
We had a great weekend getaway here. The cabin was perfect for our family with three young kids. The place was clean and cozy. Loved that it was right on the beach. Lake was perfect for tubing and knee boarding with the kids. We had planned on spending time exploring the area more, but enjoyed being at the cabin and on the lake so much we barely left. Would definitely go back!
