Year Round Peaceful Getaway in a Prime Location
Start your day sitting peacefully out on the deck just feet from the water's edge or on the private dock watching the bass jump out of the water. Throw a line in the water from the dock or jump in your boat and go fishing for Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike or Walleye (as well as a multitude of panfish).

If you like to power your own watercraft, South Lindstrom Lake is part of the Chisago Lakes Water Trail and connects to many other surrounding lakes.

Just across the lake is Lindstrom, a vibrant small town that revels in it's community events and busy Main Street.

A short drive and you're hiking in a state park or viewing fall colors in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. All along the way, all year long, there are towns and shops, activities and attractions.

When you're done for the day, grab a beverage and relax on the couch as you gaze out at the lake. Take a hot shower to warm up from a day of ice fishing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Start a fire in the fire pit next to the lake for some S'mores or to cook up your catch of the day. Take out the kayaks or paddleboat (provided) for some spectacular sunset views. The choice is yours, come enjoy Central Minnesota, come enjoy the Lake. You are Welcome!

Great getaway

The property was very clean and had everything we needed (towels, cooking utensils, board games…) for our stay. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck/ dock and taking the kayaks out on the lake. The property owner was very nice and the check in/out process was extremely easy. We would love to visit again!

Wonderful!

I stayed with my wife and parents for a weekend ice fishing trip. The house was immaculate and welcoming. The cozy environment, along with the great view of the lake, made all aspects of our trip enjoyable. Paul was very responsive and informative with his responses to my questions. Most certainly will look to stay here again soon!

Bachelorette Weekend

This property was very clean. The check in process was flawless and allowed us to arrive whenever we needed with the least amount of stress. My sisters, cousin and I had a very relaxing weekend and the view was a true getaway. Even though the weather didn't behave it was nice to get away and have a relaxing weekend to celebrate the bride. We hiked Taylor Falls which was close by. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt at ease and safe. We would definitely recommend and would go back in the future. Thank you Blake family!

Relaxing winter getaway

Just had a great stay for our anniversary. Home is exactly as pictured, a nice size for 2 but with room for 4 if needed. Well stocked kitchen, private location. Great wineries within 15 min of the property. Our one recommendation would be to print out the check out instructions and put them on the inside of a cabinet. We printed out the check in instructions before we left and then disconnected for the trip, so ended up guessing what we needed on check out to do based on prior stays. Definitely our fault (they were sitting in my inbox when we got home) but would be helpful for those in a similar situation going forward.

Quiet, cozy spot on the lake

Stayed for a month over the holidays and it was perfect. Plenty of space for me, had the things I needed. Was on a quiet street and easy to get to town. Hosts were fantastic to communicate with. Everything was laid out clearly and easy to follow. Would definitely rent again

It was so lovely for our girls weekend. The property had everything we needed. The fish were biting and the paddle boat was easy to get in the water. Lindstrom is a super cute little town with fun shopping. I highly recommend this lake house!

Solitude at its finest!

Pleasantly situated on a calm lake, immaculate, comfortable, well appointed kitchen and kayaks and paddle boat available. We chose to sit on the dock, read, watch the fish swimming under us and the families of Canadian geese families parade by. A must for bird watchers, too. A special bonus were the smart tvs so we could watch Eurovision!

Perfect Getaway Close to Home

We needed to shut out the world for a couple of days without driving far from the city and this was perfect. The lake house is quiet and it’s absolutely beautiful sitting on the couch looking out over the water. We had everything we needed as the owners thought of everything from throw blankets to a can opener. It is probably the most well-stocked VRBO we have stayed at. Paul was excellent to communicate with and responded to messages within minutes both leading up to our stay and during our stay. We will be back for more stays at this location because of the property, the amazing hosts, the location, and the fishing year round.

Super clean, comfortable, and cozy, definitely recommend! Stayed 2 nights in the fall for a mini family vacation with our 9 month old. Second bedroom was perfect for the pack and play, the bathroom had a tub, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Although it rained most the time we were there, the space was perfect for hanging out and playing games. Our little guy loved looking out the siding glass door to watch the rain. Host was friendly and very kind, hopefully we’ll visit again next year.

Greetings! We are Paul and Kate Blake. We have been married for 12 years, have two children (ages 11 and 9) and live in Maple Grove, MN (our primary residence).

Why they chose this property

We recently bought this lake house as a second home for our family. We have traveled to this part of Minnesota for getaways since before we had children. Now as a family, the Chisago Lakes area still has plenty to offer us. We have stayed at many VRBO properties across the country and are now excited to be able to host our own property. We love this area of Minnesota, we hope you will too.

What makes this property unique

We are centrally located to an abundance of activites and interests. Our home is only feet from the lakeshore. With beautiful lake views, private dock, watercraft and ice fishing equipment free to use during your stay.
