The entire house was ready for guests, from the cleanliness to the fully equipped kitchen. All the light switches are clearly labelled, so no guess work there. The house information and check out instructions were clear, concise and well organized. I cannot say enough about the beautiful views and the peaceful surroundings. I saw the Flower Moon on 5/1, rising over the mountain, in the wee hours of the morning. It was spectacular and could be seen from the upstairs loft bedroom.
This house is perfect. Host was extremely accommodating and allowed us flexibility with check in and out times. We were able to get one more great hike in. House is very clean, cozy, welcoming. Doug is very organized.
Doug was a great host, and readily available if needed. the house was fantastic and very spacious and comfortable in an envious setting of the Virginia mountains. Small towns nearby were charming, especially Washington, and the small country roads surrounding the property drove through beautiful landscapes of farms and rolling hills.
This property is excellent! It was the most well-equipped vacation rental I've stayed in - everything we needed (other than food) was there! The backyard was perfect for our two dogs and they loved watching the cows in a back pasture. Doug is an awesome host and was always very responsive to any questions we had. We will be back!
great house, well appointed and fully stocked with every cooking needs. Terrific fenced in yard. Great area hiking and extremely knowledgeable and helpful owner.
We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Etlan! Doug was an outstanding host, making us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need and had such a warm, cozy, and inviting vibe. Highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway!
Overall, we enjoyed the house, which was well equipped. The location was beautiful and relaxing. We were unable to take advantage of our chosen hiking trails, due to heavy rains and trail closures. Definitely, a peaceful retreat.
We booked the property for my wife and I and Family for a recent wedding in Culpeper. The property was exactly as described and was immaculate. The instructions and the website for the property were very helpful. We would stay here again no issues at all.
We had an excellent stay! The house and yard were perfect for six adults, an infant, and two dogs. The house was equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. We took advantage of the charcoal grill and well equipped kitchen for cooking. The location was perfect and the views from the house were idyllic. The large fully fenced yard was great for our two dogs, as well as the upper deck that had a gate to keep dogs or kids on the deck. Less than 15 minutes to Sperryville, which had so many cute things! Highly recommend this property, host, and location and would definitely return!
Doug is so great to work with and our stay was wonderful once again. Slow and relaxing days - hikes with the pups in the morning and cooking in the perfect kitchen every evening. It’s just perfect!
We wanted a short getaway for part of spring break and Four Fields did not disappoint! The house was clean, well appointed and a great layout for our family. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Great location for hiking and skyline drive. We will definitely return.
The property was a great way to spend a couple days away in a relaxing and home like setting. We traveled with our family, friends, and dogs. It was an ideal way for us to spend a weekend. We were able to do a little hiking and have a great place to go back to and relax and enjoy each others company. We look forward to doing it again.
My husband and three grown children loved our stay at Four Fields! The view was amazing. The house was stocked with everthing you could need and it was spotless. The view was gorgeous and oh so peaceful!
