About this property
The Wee Hauf - cosy, modern, excellent location for exploring Scotland
Unusual bright little house, cosy and comfortable, in small village near historic city of Dunfermline. The Wee Hauf offers you a modern open-plan living space, shower-room, and one bedroom opening directly onto a sun-trap patio and secluded private garden. Lie in bed and listen to the birds sing!
This is an ideal location from which you can explore the many attractions of the ancient Kingdom of Fife, from the golfing heritage of the Auld Course at St. Andrews, to the art gallery in Kirkcaldy, hometown of Jack Vettriano. There are plenty of local events, theatre and arts, sporting activity and motor racing at the Racewall and Knockhill to enjoy. More than lots of things to do, there's plenty of peace and quiet, so you can relax in Fife's beautiful countryside and coastline, including the Lomond Hills and Aberdour's Silver Sand beach. There's a convenience store in the village and with retail and leisure parks nearby, you don't have far to go to shop, eat out, see a film or go bowling
Just 20min from Edinburgh, the Wee Hauf is a short hop to the buzz of Edinburgh, for Hogmany or the world renown Festivals, as well as providing a great base to get out and explore Scotland. Dunfermline has excellent transport links by bus and rail, and the Wee Hauf is close to J3 on the M90. In under an hour, you can be in Perth, gateway to the Highlands, visit the C.R.Mackintosh designed tearooms in Glasgow, or relax in Peebles, amongst rolling Borders hills and salmon rivers.

About the host
Hosted by Fenella

I've been hosting for several years, making the annexe (I'd converted what used to be a shop!) available to others, after my dad and I agreed that he had settled really well where he was and didn't need it. As the annexe is self-contained, guests have their privacy but I like the chance to find out what interests them so I can give them some ideas on where to visit. After travelling to several far-flung places, I'm staying closer to home now so I can spend time with my grandchild.
Why they chose this property
A location that will let you quickly get places to enjoy the best Fife and Scotland has to offer.
What makes this property unique
I invested a lot of time and effort in the property - it was to be my Dad's home and going by comments (see below) it seems others appreciate the high standard I achieved and maintain.
