I grew up in tourist town in Wyoming near Yellowstone Park. I met beautiful people from all over the world and learned about the joy and responsibilities of hosting. My husband and I moved to Omaha/Lincoln over 30 years ago and hosted exchange students and raised our family. We have traveled a number of places in the U.S. and Europe to meet up with students and their families and enjoyed being guests in many places, experiencing a great deal of European hospitality. My work has recently taken me to Iowa. Sharing the Treehouse with others offers me a chance to "return to my roots", and the joy of hosting and meeting people. My hope is that this will offer to you a comfortable place to be during your stay and an opportunity to have the best experience in whatever journey you have chosen.

Why sharon chose Council Bluffs
Fell in love with the hills and the trees - closest thing in Iowa to a Wyoming mountainside. The neighborhood is safe, friendly and tight-knit. The house is set up to be extremely comfortable and the views and wildlife are beyond what I imagined. Enjoying all that, just 10 short minutes away is another world - the heart of downtown Omaha brunching in the Old Market, catching an evening concert, hopping over to the Zoo, Lauritzen Gardens or Museums on a regular basis just for fun. I can then leave the hustle and bustle behind with a smile on my face and return to the Zen of the treehouse to sit on the patio and watch the animals, listen to the birds and the wind blow through the trees. It feels like paradise to me
