About Simon Lewis
My wife and I are hard working professionals who enjoy time off in the sunshine surrounded by clear skies, green palms and blue sea. We often can't get away in the summer months so a Caribbean hideaway is just perfect for Winter Sun.
Simon Lewis purchased this Condo in 2008

Family Vacay at Marigot Bay Resort & Spa
Outstanding staff, resort. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was welcoming, and supporting and polite. Great food. Grounds and rooms / apartments are well maintained.
We were displaced from the unit we contracted from pool side to another at last minute. All units being similar and well maintained, the only negative was view and not being pool side.
Wonderful property, excellent accommodations, we will be back!
My husband and I had stayed in the past at the Marigot Bay Resort when it was operating at Capella and had a lovely stay. When we decided to take our teenage daughters to Marigot Bay and began to look at VRBO for properties to rent in the area, we immediately noticed Simon's property and knew that we had to book. Booking direct through the owner provides significant cost savings over booking through the resort, and we STILL enjoyed the excellent customer service and the kinds of amenities we enjoyed previously and the Resort when we were previous guests. This really is the best of both worlds (including the ability to charge resort purchases/meals/excursions to your room!).
Simon was very prompt at replying to any inquiry I had leading up to our stay, answering our questions and being very easy to work with. The property itself is well maintained (I wondered if we honestly were the first guests to use some of the pots!!) and incredibly comfortable and spacious for a family of four. The proximity of the unit to the main pool, restaurants and the marina was a plus. Very central to everything.
On property, we enjoyed cooking from our room for one to two meals every day and frequented the Brut Bar many days for lunch. There are also many restaurants in the area that we visited for dinner.
The amenities around the pool like fresh coconut water every day at noon were a nice touch! We took advantage of the fitness classes/activities including yoga and the ridge hike (and we did the ridge hike on our own some days too!) and used the personal concierge service on property to arrange a fantastic excursion by water taxi to hike Gros Piton and visit Sugar Beach on the way back. Visited the little La Bas Beach everyday as well with chair, towel and water service included as property guests provided. We also rented kayaks and paddleboards from the watersports hut there many days.
We had an excellent stay in some of the nicest accommodations we have had on a family vacation. Thank you Simon for being so easy to work with. I hope our travels bring us back to you one day soon!
Fantastic Luxury Villa In Hotel Complex
This place exceeded our expectations having travelled to various Caribbean islands and stayed in other HomeAway properties there. It is a Villa with two huge bedrooms and two bathrooms and spacious open plan lounge and kitchen opening into three seperate balconies plus seperate utility room with washer dryer etc. Everything was spotlessly clean and daily maid service changed ALL sheets and towels and cleaned throughout. Appliances high quality and again spotless. Fantastic choice of bars and eateries and two minute walk to Marina with £100 million plus yachts moored. You are treat as a guest of the hotel despite booking through Mr Lewes which isn’t always the case in setups like this. Gr at location on island too as bang in the middle of the two best beaches on the island albeit that both are a bit of a drive Pigeon Island 45 mins to north and Sugar Beach 1 hour to South. Also good beach at Anse Couchon which is a 20 min drive. We are family with two small kids and this was perfect for us.
A very nicely appointed resort with good service and accommodations
Capella at Marigot Bay was a very nice resort facility which is modern and well appointed with beautiful guest rooms and suites and all the needed amunities. The staff provide high level of guest service and are attentive in their service offerings.
Marigot Bay is a key marina along St Lucia's western (Caribbean) coast, it is busy with sail boats and large power cruisers so interesting for boat enthusiasts.
There is a beach across the marina from Capella and it is quite basic so for beach lovers note this.
A pleasant resort though and well worth visiting and repeating.
Beautiful apartment, great showers, full kitchen, washer and dryer a plus
We have not had a more relaxing vacation ever. The pool, staff, restaurants, and beautiful grounds were like paradise. The St. Lucian people are so warm and friendly. The apartment has two large bathrooms and two large bedrooms. The kitchen/dining/living room is a very large room with nice furniture. Three balconies off each room. The General Manager of the complex is seen a lot and stops to chat with the guests making sure everything is working out well. Five stars!
My family and I stayed at Simon Lewis's 2 Bdrm Apartment from March 31, 2016 through April 8th. The 2 Bdrms are formed by joining a 1 Bdrm apartment with an adjoining studio room, and combined they are one entire floor in one of the buildings you can see in the pictures. I can honestly say this is the nicest property we have ever stayed, and Simon's apartment is perfectly located overlooking the pool and marina. You can walk from the pool to Simon's apartment in 30 seconds. This property is definitely high end, and is void of all the typical annoyances that come with normal vacation rentals (e.g. people reserving pool chairs when they are not in the pool, checking towels in and out, etc). The staff is very friendly, and they make a point of learning your names. They also go the extra mile by bringing you bottled water while at the pool, along with a couple of rounds of complimentary drinks (in shot glasses) during the day. There is no "check out time", you leave your room when it is time for you to go to the airport to catch your flight.
Marigot Bay is truly picturesque, with the Northern half being mostly undeveloped. There are 6 restaurants around the bay (or very nearby), not including the Capella. Overall I would rate the food as good, but not fantastic (the food at the Capella was probably the best), and prices are high but not outrageous as at some other islands. The road conditions are really bad, so if you haven't been to St. Lucia before you absolutely do not want to rent a car from the airport and try to find the Capella. I rented a car with help from my "personal assistant" at the Capella, and it was quite reasonable. I also did not find this to be the best island for beaches or snorkeling. However, the people on the island are very friendly, and if you like the contrasting scenery of a mountainous island and clear blue Caribbean water, this is the place for you.
All-in-all this is an outstanding property, and Simon is renting it at a very reasonable price for what you get. This is also the easiest rental process I every had through VRBO. Thank you Simon!!!
