My family really enjoyed our stay here. Great location as the beach was within walking distance and the lakes were only a 10 minute drive. The place was tidy and comfortable with enough room to relax with a few different tables to do activities like games, puzzles or eating. We would definitely be keen to stay here again in the future.

Fair comment about the deck, we are in the process of renewing, yes the shower is low pressure, there's not a lot that can be done about that on tank water, as for broken chairs who knows
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this little gem of NZ. Location is fantastic for beaches and a short drive to the stunning Kai Iwi lakes. Has everything you need, to me a true blue kiwi batch.
Great location near beautiful rugged west coach beach, and just a short drive to the lakes. Perfect!

Listing should be updated to ensure accurate amenities (eg no towels or linen, washing machine available). Tv didnt work. No pegs provided. Not very clean, e.g. left over razor in bathroom, mold on curtains. Kitchen well equipped. Paper towels would have been helpful. Providing instructions re need for council rubbish bags prior to check in would be helpful. Beautiful breeze with open windows but some fly screens would be welcome. Space was very generous.
Beautiful quiet location with plenty of new (for us) places to explore. Great kiwi bach, we were sad to leave.

Great classic NZ batch stay.
Great location to rugged NZ west coast beaches and close to family friendly Kai Iwi Lakes. We had a great trip playing board games and roaming the beach and lakes. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time at this property, enjoying the small village and beach. Lots to do in the area. Struggled with the oven but the rest was fantastic.
A great escape. A throw back to rural NZ on the wild west coast. The batch was simple but everything we expected. A great place to stay if you are heading to the lakes.
House was what we were expecting. Great location and we had fun at the beach. Oven was a fight, and the couch was rather lumpy, but otherwise a good stay.
Felt right at home. Couldn't get to the beach (possibly due to tides) but Kaiiwi Lakes were a lovely surprise on a hot afternoon. Well appointed and comfortable

Everything went well for our brief stay. Just couldn't figure out how to get the oven going. Great to be so close to the beach and the lakes. Bring sunblock!

We had a good stay
We had a good time at the batch, very cozy. We brought a mattress topper for the beds. It wasn’t very clean but that was ok. We thought there was a bbq there as it was on the ad but when we got there we realised there wasn’t one but the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans so no big deal. all and all we had a really good time. Perfect location for the beach and lakes. Definitely stay again.
Overall a nice little place to stay, good little spot to get to lakes around the area. It was very hot during our stay and only had one fan in the house so it did get a little uncomfortable at night as the heat was a bit much. Make sure you pack enough towels for your stay as the closest laundry is in Dargaville. The kids had fun exploring the area and heading to the lake everyday.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jim and Nikki's bach, it had everything we needed and was just as advertised. Perfect for a family stay and the beach was just a short walk away - the kids loved playing on the sand dunes. We couldn't get the oven to work even after following the resetting instructions but thankfully the lovely Maree let us use her oven to cook pizzas on the first night. Enjoyable stay, thank you.
