We knew this was going to be a very different and off the grid experience and that was just what we wanted. Celebrating a 65th birthday had to be memorable and staying at Kath and Dan's house gave us memories we'll cherish. And Mello is a gorgeous dog.
Everything was amazing from the hosts, the most kind dog playing fetch with you, to the quiet beautiful nature, hot tube in the backyard, having candels as a light in the night. The story behinde cabin is amazing. They made everything by themselfs and the energy and looks are amazing. Would go back anytime! Amazing stay!
It was amazing. Truly a unique and wonderful place to stay. Loved the owners, they were absolutely wonderful and so welcoming. Would recommend to anyone.
This was a fabulous place to stay full of character and quirks that just made the place special. So much work has gone into this unique home and Kath made the experience easy and friendly. Her knowledge of the local area was much appreciated.I highly recommend.
We had a great stay at Dan and Kaths the accomodation was top knotch and comfortable a real change from Boring motel rooms. The batch has a unique feel to it having no power and a charming atmosphere with a great covered outside area to just relax and enjoy the views of surrounding Harihari we look forward to staying here again in the future
This property is in the most stunning location. It was lovely staying off-the-grid -- peaceful and easy. The hosts are wonderful and have created a friendly and quirky oasis. Five stars all round.
Very cool little property was super relaxing kath and dan are very hospitable and made myself and my partner feel very welcome would recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing break
Absolutely amazing! This was a complete surprise for me, as my husband had booked our stay.We loved all the love that has gone into the making of this place of wood, especially the wood burning stove. Comfortable and cosy right the way through.
What a great place to stay! Kath and Dan have created a beautiful and novel experience in lovely Hari Hari. The stove to heat the water is a special treat and the thoughtful design and artistic approach to the lodge is unique and beautiful. Great use of up cycled materials and local wood and stone. Loved this place! Thanks again Dan and Kate!
Awesome stay in a quaint and quirky offgrid cottage which was presented with much pride by the owner, Dan. He was a very hospitable host and made us feel most welcome.
Very homely and wholesome.
Loved the local produce too.
We will come again
Thank you 😊
What a great place to stay . Thank you Cath and Dan for the hospitality. Dean and I loved the property. We felt right at home in your beautiful cottage . The tile shower is just stunning and we loved all the details you have added to the batch . We will definitely be back . Ps. Deans head was a bit sore on Thursday from the home brew 😆
Booked as a dog friendly stop off on long journey. A magical place, wish were had time to stay longer. A hidden gem. We loved the fact that it was off grid but certainly did not miss out on any luxuries. Fabulously decorated and kitted out. We loved it. Great hosts. Thank you.
Well equipped little hut that is ideal to disconnect from the world and just chill out. They've done a great job of making the hut comfortable and functional without frills. We didn't end up using the bath because it was just too hard to get fire going. A little attention here would make that more enjoyable and usable.
The lodge in itself is very unique. A work of love and attention to detail is amazing. Light a bonfire in the fire pit and sit on the covered deck with a bevy. There's almost no light pollution so if you want to soak in the wood fired bath and watch the night sky. Amethyst hot pools is a must. Natural hot spring located up the river. The native bird life is flourishing and you hear many different birds. Even moreporks talking to each other. Very still and quiet. Dan and Kath make their own honey and cider and i recommend that you try both. The local buther in Hari Hari does awesome sausages. We cooked ours on the pot belly with bread and sauce. Yum!!
We had such a great time and we were well taken care of. Definitely be coming back real soon. I cant wait.
