A well appointed and generally quite clean ski lodge, perfect for our family Xmas getaway. It had all the things we needed for cooking and general merry-making.The sleeping area was very quiet and well separated from the living areas. The showers were excellent.The only reason for the 4 stars is that the bunk beds are a quite small and I found them a little uncomfortable, but serviceable enough.

We took a group of Young Adults away to this lodge for the weekend. It was a perfect place to stay. It had loads of run, good lounge spaces. The place was tidy and had everything we needed!

Great multi-family holiday

Wonderful holiday with a group of multiple families with a wide range of kids. Excellent facilities for a group like us. Great location near Tongariro National Park and a very short drive or walk to the village. Highly recommend.

Awesome property for large groups

This place is fantastic - very well equipped with everything you need. There were 12 of us, 6 adults and 6 kids and it was just perfect for that number. Kids loved the games room including a projector for movie night.

Perfect property for a large group gathering, plenty of space for everyone and great lcoation

The property was fantastic - it had brilliant kitchen facilities with everything you needed and more. Awesome games room with something for everyone for those wet weather days when you can't venture outside for long. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets, with fabulous showers. Clean and well laid out lodge. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for accommodation for a large group/family gathering.

Awesome spot for large groups

Staying here in the summer was great, the weather was cool and there are lots of great hikes in the area. Kitchen area is large and suitable for feeding all occupants. Excellent seating arrangements and a walk in drying room for gear made this stay kne to remember. Lounge and theater room was great too.. the code to get in was initially provided by bookabach which was outdated. But the owners were quick to answer and give us the new code.. would stay there again :)

40th Family Fun

We had a great time away with four families celebrating a big birthday. Worth noting there were very few blankets and duvets. Loved the area for it's walks, waterfalls, forest, bike trails, playground and love of carrots. The lodge was roomy and excellent for accommodating 8 adults and 11 kids between 1 and 12years even in wet weather. Loved the two separable living spaces. Thanks for a great week!

Amazing Long-weekend Getaway

No words to explain how good the accommodation is. The photos provided in the listing do no do justice to the place as in real the accommodation is much better. It had every thing to entertain people of all age groups. The commercial kitchen contains everything that is needed for cooking big meals. Highly recommend this place for big groups and we are keen to book this place again in future. The booking officer, Liz, was very kind and helpful, patient enough to clear all our queries. In short, our entire group enjoyed the time we spend at this accommodation.

Awesome place to stay for families

We love staying here! A big group of us go to Ohakune every year and we've finally found the perfect place to stay.We had about 4 families, so about 12 of us in total. Each family gets their own room, or in our case the kids were all together and the adults had their own rooms.There's a pool table and table tennis for the kids, a projector screen for movies, enough space for everyone to sit around comfortably and a massive kitchen.Host is great - very communicative and helpful. Location is perfect - walking distance to town and the carrot park.Only thing I would say is that I wish there was a sun umbrella. We really wanted to sit outside but there was no shade on the deck and it was too hot. But this is a ski lodge I suppose so not to be expected. Next time we will bring our own.Highly recommend!
