Great place with a real nz Bach feel. So easy to get to the beach and local shops. Definitely coming back. Out door bath is a great little touch and choice of outdoor seating areas lets you follow the sun.

Love this place! Relaxed, comfy and fantastic location. Really hard to beat for peaceful low key break. Only negative is the cleaning fee very high for what it is....would be helpful to be left even one full roll of toilet paper (make sure you take some for arrival!!), some dishwasher tablets and some sort of kitchen bench cleaning products.

Amazing location and has everything for a great stay , missing a few bits and bobs for a winter stay but such a amazing location we can look past that - note take dishwashing liquid and essentials like that No cutlery draw bit crazy in that department and can't use toaster and kettle at same time as trips switch but perfect lodcation

Lovely place for a weekend away

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Ruby batch with our family. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Easy and quick to heat on the cold nights. Great beach access. The kids enjoyed playing table tennis in the sheltered area outside. Would stay again in the future.

Cosy but well located

This property is well located and well priced. The house itself is small but economical. Tucked behind the dunes and in close proximity to neighbours we missed the ocean breeze - the house can get hot; However, being a stones throw from the ocean means a remedy is close at hand! Fantastic communication from the property manager. Our only gripe was the limited provisions - a single dishwasher tablet, a single serve of washing powder, and half an inch of soap in each soap container for a four day stay for eight people. A little more generosity on this front would be appreciated.

Great location and relaxed bach vibe, sadly the property was not supplied with any reasonable basics eg tea towel, oven gloves, toilet paper (not even 1 full roll), dishwashing liquid, bathroom/toilet cleaners etc. I had the same problems last year on 2 other stays here. Property manager was very helpful and dropped some around when made aware. Cleaning charge is excessive given the bach size and quality of clean.

Summer Bliss

Our entire trip was made amazing by the house itself. The different sections and feeling of “if I want to escape here for a moment of quiet from everybody” was honestly one of the best features of the bach. The place was stocked just right for us and we all really loved the proximity to the beach and cafe - especially the kayaks which being that the guests were between the ages of 13 to 53 I was surprised that the kayaks were something everyone enjoyed! The ping pong table was also a massive hit and a great way to spend time and have fun. Overall, it was a wonderful time and the house had a really great vibe to it - perfect place for making happy memories. We’ll definitely book again if we ever get the chance! Thank you to Nicola too!! She is a really down to earth lady who made us feel like we could just kick back and enjoy the place in its entirety and so we appreciated that greatly!!!

Fantastic Bach close to the beach

Loved our time here. Struck a good balance between a nice place to stay and not so precious that we worried about sand ;-) loved the easy access to the beach and the outdoor decks. Well equipped with everything we needed. One issue - laundry power point trips so can’t wash or dry but I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

Omaha family memories

Wow. Such a great weekend away with our family. Everything about the property was amazing. The kids loved it and was fully fenced and safe for all. We would love to come back again. The whole process was easy and communication was great. The only thing I would say is the nails in the deck need to be hammered down there was a few snagged toes. But over all beautiful.
