About this property

Pauanui bach with great outdoor living and views.

Sunny elevated home with views and a large north facing deck
Overlooks the Links Golf course, and a short walk to the main shopping area, estuary and beach.
This sunny elevated holiday home is very neat and tidy both inside and out. It has a large lawn and fruit trees. It is ideal for a perfect couple getaway, and as a base for exploring the coromandel peninsula!
There are awesome Estuary and Pinnacle vistas from the property and the large northfacing deck. Perfect for outdoor living with a bbq, large table and a louvre to provide some shade.
The house has 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, lounge/dining and kitchen. The lounge has a tv and stereo. There are games, books and toys here. There is a ceiling fan to keep the room cool.
There is a carport for car or boat parking, and plenty of room out the front.
There is a gently sloping large lawn with a flat area at the back. Fenced 3 sides, we consider allowing pets with prior arrangement. There is a small completely fenced area along the side of the house.
There is an underhouse "cubby" with golf clubs, beach toys and a kayak.
There is a portacot for babies.
The garden is well maintained with lemon, mandarin, lime, fejoa and macademia trees and 2 wooden picnic tables.
The house looks over the golf course, and is close to the airport for plane spotting! Behind the property is the main shopping and restaurant area - very convenient for supplies and to go out for drinks and dinner.

Smoking is allowed outside only. Pets allowed with prior approval. Couples preferred.

This bach is so well located, just a few mins walk from Pauanui shops. Lisa is super communicative and stayed in touch throughout our booking process, including when the cyclone threw a last minute curveball! Very easy check-in & out process. We did think there was an odour in the master bedroom - but perhaps it was dampness related to the recent rain?

If you want value for your $ this is the place to stay. I couldn't think of anything negative to say. We throughly enjoyed our holiday. The house and the area was just perfect for us. As an added bonus the beach was close to the bach and the fishing was good.

We are a family of 6 - including 4 boys+ 2 dogs. We live in Auckland but love Pauanui and head over regularly. We feel a great sense of relaxation as we approach Pauanui on the drive over.

We bought this place when our sons were all at primary school - many hours in the surf, diving off the wharf, fishing, swinging on rope swings, out on the boat and down at the skate-park. Or just relaxing at home playing board-games and doing jigsaws. Our sons now enjoy coming with their mates!

As parents/adults there is plenty to do as well - and certainly is relaxing.

Why they chose this property

Although a large house that can take large families this listing is for the 2 bedroom self-contained house.
So it is perfect for small groups 2-4 people (say 2 couples or a family of 4 with two young children) wanting a nice get-away to Pauanui.

This house is central Pauanui - very close (i.e. a very short walk) to the shops & restaurants; it is elevated so there are fantastic views of the estuary and the Pinnacles.

There are so many things to do in Pauanui besides the fantastic water recreation; there's hiking, biking, waterfalls, glowworm caves, great restaurants & bars, golf, tennis and plenty to keep kids entertained. Or you can simply relax and do nothing!

And then there are the planes coming in and out - we're quite regularly treated to some amazing aerobatics from our deck.

On sunny evenings we enjoy wandering up to the wharf by the estuary and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere - looking across the water with the moored yachts and the gulls circling about. Alternatively we can sit on our deck looking out at the Pinnacles as the sun sets.

What makes this property unique

Very close to the shops, 5 minutes walk to the skateboard park, golf course and 10-15mins walk to ocean beach .

Note - this listing is for 2 bedroom upstairs part of the house - we also rent the whole house for large groups under another listing, priced accordingly.
