Great little cottage, not big but very comfortable and well equipped. Close to ocean, beaches and the Punakaiki rocks, among other destinations. Loved the shower floor made from rocks, felt great on sore feet after a long hike!
We stayed at the Rimu cottage for two nights. It was ideally located to walk to the Pancake rocks and blow hole at Punakaiki, and also just down the road from amazing scenic views and culture at Hokitika. The cottage was well described in the listing, comfortable and clean. It made a great home base for our time on the West Coast.
Nice little wooden bach. Bath on the front deck, hidden from view of the bach in front. Beautiful wooden floors. Some cooking facilities - 2 hotplates, microwave, kettle. Nice shower and bathroom.
Beautiful cottage, very nicely finished. Bed was lovely and comfortable, the linen was great. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck takking in the view. Will definately come back!!
Beautiful property and location.
Interaction with the booking agency wasn’t great.
Initially the price was shown in US dollars but this was in no way clear so was a bit of a shock when I realised I’d been charged a lot more than expected. This is in no way a reflection on the property itself or the owners.

We also run a great team of horses we work with and offer treks into the Punakaiki valley within the Paparoa National Park, with the ride finishing along the beach.
