About this property

Snow House: comfortable and spacious in Snowmass with spa pool.

A larger than average 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday home well appointed to make your Ruapehu family stay comfortable and relaxing. Sunny and warm with north facing aspect, double glazing throughout, central wood burner with wood supplied and electric heaters in all rooms. Flow through the large sliding doors onto the large deck and privacy of the right-of-way section and adjoining reserve. Relax with a soak in the spa after a day in the outdoors.

The spacious open plan flow provides ample space to gather around the large dining table away from those lounging on the comfy sofas enjoying Netflix or our collection of movies on the big screen TV; or stream your own services via wi-fi, Bluetooth or USB. Free wi-fi included.

Easily entertain in the full size, well equipped kitchen with gas hobs/electric oven and an espresso machine to get things started in the mornings. Gas hot water ensures everyone gets a hot shower in one of the two bathrooms. There’s a purpose built drying room and separate laundry with storage for skis or bikes.

This Ohakune accommodation easily sleeps families with up to 10 guests. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 a queen bed and single bunk set and bedroom 3 has two sets of single bunks. All beds have electric blankets, versatile summer/winter duvets and luxurious feather and down duvets on the queen beds. Please note to keep your costs down we don't supply linen so you will need to bring sheets, pillowcases, towels.

Summer or winter, Snow House in Snowmass is an ideal home for families to share a relaxing mountain break.

Special conditions:
Damage bond required of $250 held as a charge over your credit card.
Guests to leave property clean and tidy as they found it. Optional cleaning service at end of stay is available for $60 per stay but must be organised in advance.
Bring own linen (sheets, pillow cases, towels). Please note we can no longer provide linen due to changes made by local suppliers sorry.
Not suitable for large groups of adults.
2 night minimum stay during ski season.

Perfect spot

Great place to base ourselves for the crossing. House was spacious large having the spa was certainly welcomed post crossing. It was a nice quiet street and only a short walk to the village.

Short stay in Ohakune

This was a perfect spot for our overnight stop between Wellington and Auckland. Location was great and the house was comfortable and warm, the spa was an added bonus after a long walk to stretch our legs. Would love to come back for a longer stay some time.

Perfect spot

We found the house very clean and tidy. Gareth was great with correspondence. We were very grateful for the ready fireplace as the evening was quite cool. Highly recommend staying here.

Loved the location and the house was quiet and warm. However the oven was not clean neither were the showers. The bunk beds and second double bed were not in great condition either - 2 of the adults ended up sleeping on the flor

Had a very pleasant stay at this property (4 adults 6 kids). Spa was a big plus, as was location. Very short walk to the playground and town. Spacious living/dining/kitchen with everything we could need. Easy and prompt communication with property manager. Highly recommended.

A well situated cosy home.Nicely layed out with room to move. Comfy beds and a good amount of living space. Drying room was amazing to get mountain stuff ready and of course the togs. SPA was brilliant, so good in the winter chill. Would highly recommended the house to small groups 6 - 8, maybe more in thr summer when the doors can be open.

Great area, awesome fireplace & spa pool

Very nice area. The house has everything you need. Great fireplace & plenty of dry wood. Relaxing spa pool. You can see Mt Ruapehu from the spa pool through some trees (when the sky is clear of course) Comfy bed. We found the duvet too heavy & hot so we took it off the bed & used the spare wool queen duvet blanket in the cupboard in the lounge which was perfect. If you are a light sleeper, you will hear the spa pool operating during the night. It wouldn't have mattered if it was a consistent noise but it would start up for a while & then stop & do that a lot during the night. We usually use white noise to block out noises, played through our Bluetooth speaker. So we turned that up & slept well after that. Good coffee machine. We used the coffee grinder too. So if you want to use it, remember to take your own coffee beans. It was good being able to lock bikes away in the laundry. And great to have laundry detergent provided to do washing & a drier to dry clothes. Great place for a big group. It can sleep up to 10 people. It was too big for just the 2 of us so that would be the only reason why as 'a couple' we wouldn't stay there again. But if we cannot find another great place like it we will go back again.
