Great base to explore Queenstown
Great property enjoyed our stay
Lovely clean property, as described. Beautiful comfy beds. Lovely view from lounge room.
Very happy and would stay again :-)
Comfy home away from home
If you are looking for a clean, tidy spacious home for your stay in Queenstown then this home is perfect and we would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to get back.
We did a big grocery shop for the week to get us started and otherwise everything we needed was there.
Highlights and feedback for future guests -
1 Great view - actually amazing view
2 Great size kitchen with plenty of utensils, cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment - we had 6 people but could easily double that number for cutlery and crockery, etc
3 Multiple toilets and bathrooms
4 Warm - it was a joy to come home to after a cold day of skiing or sightseeing, the beds all had electric blankets, plus heaters in the rooms. We found we always had enough hot water for our baths and showers plus washing.
5 Garage- that is accessible from the internal stairs - really great in winter when all the other cars in the street were iced over - plus it had 2 clothes dryers ‘bonus’.
6 Wonderful host that provided great communication and clear instructions - we travelled with a 3 & 4 year old so it was great to get the tips and age appropriate sightseeing options from a local
7 Not that we needed it but there was also a baby gate for the stairs and a porta cot if staying with young ones - very suitable for families with young ones
8 Lots of lounge space for 4 adults and 2 kids, plus more if you had extra guests
9 Enough furnishings to be really comfortable, functional and homely, but not so many that I had to worry with young kids breaking items and touching things
10 plenty of household basics - washing liquid, dishwasher powder, bathroom shower gel, tea, coffee, sugar plus also a few leftovers in the pantry -oil, salt, pepper etc.
11 Big plus for me - Clean and tidy however not to excessive to the point you were constantly worrying about your kids being in someone else’s home.
A definite home away from home.
Things to consider-
1. We hired a 7 seater van so it just fit in the garage and took some guidance the first few days to get the hang of driving it in and out the driveway and garage, however we didn’t find it an issue. If you have a big 4x4 you might need to check for clearance.
2. We didn’t walk to town but you could if you wanted to, with young kids it would be a bit more strenuous to walk back up the hill, however still achievable.
FYI - We used Uber a couple of times when going for dinner and it was $7.50 to Steamers Wharf.
Great Queenstown spot, amazing view!
We had a great time at this place. Place was welcoming and relaxing and a great spot to spend time after our days out and a out. We didn't feel like we needed anything extra as the house was equipped with just about everything we needed. Would absolutely rent again.
Awesome family holiday house 👌🏾
Spent 1 night with a few friends at this house, the view overlooking Queenstown and the lake was simply amazing and the house had a real homely feel to it. Great place for families to stay while on their Queenstown experience 👍🏾
Very clean and tidy with everything you need. Great communication! Would definitely stay again. Thanks
Close to the centre but away from the hustle and bustle. An enjoyable picturesque 12 minute walk down to town or a short car ride. The end of the cul de sac has bush walks and mountain biking. It is also the start of the track up Ben Lomond for hiking.
