Luxury Kiwi Bach with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a separate sleepout. The Bach has an equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, BBQ and north facing decks.

A relaxing rural retreat for families, groups, leisure or corporate. The Conference Lodge and venue is the perfect setting for corporate retreats, functions and special occasions.

Complete with tennis court, heated swimming pool (open from 1st October to Kings Birthday Weekend) and petanque court on site there is no need to leave.

All Baches are identical - see interior layout sketch. Tariff is for 1 - 2 guests per night
Each extra adult is $60/night and children from 2-12 years $30/night

Place is well presented and in a lovely setting

We had a bit of trouble with the main toilet running all nite this meant the pump was running all nite so not much sleep And would have been nice if the gas fireplace was working but the gas was turned off They do this in the summer makes sense but this was a cold nite and it would have been nice to have the ambience of a gas fire and the pool wasn’t heated it was quite cold. To there credit they did turn off the toilet so it didn’t run the following nite Bed was nice and comfortable and the place was clean so I would recommend to stay there again

Mostly great stay

We mostly enjoyed our stay at this accommodation but thought the listing was abit misleading. We thought that we were the only people that would be staying at this accommodation and didn’t realise there is roughly 10-20 bach’s across the property. This also didn’t help as we thought the pool was right outside our bach but it wasn’t, it was a drive away from where we were situated. Other than that, we did enjoyed the Bach itself and everything inside especially the air con.

Michael our host was friendly knowledgable about local activities and very quick to help . We loved the wildlife and birds on the property . The rabbits on the lawn were a huge bonus for an Easter weekend . Pool was very clean and perfect temperature for swimming . The bach was modern and well equipped ( apart from no Nespresso machine !!! )Only problem was door into main bedroom wouldn't stay shut due to design . Sleepout needed an extra vacuum .

Incredible cozy Batch. I was blown away with the space and view. So peaceful.

A perfect getaway for chilling with friends or wanting some couple time. The Batch was very clean, well looked after, perfectly fitted out. Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful relaxing weekend, fresh air and beautiful views....a stunning experience. ....Riverside Matakana would also be a perfect spot for friends and family to gather and enjoy a fun filled weekend together. I will be back, and I will be telling everyone how amazing it was.

Loved Matakana

We had a very relaxed stay at Riverside Matakana. We enjoyed the location especially, including the ability to play tennis and swim whenever we wanted to, and the proximity to Matakana village, Snells Beach and Kawau Island.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay, comfortable well appointed Bach and easy drive to lots of beaches and attractions. We made use of the Pool and tennis courts and would happily stay again.

The photos don’t do this place any justice as we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The Bach was immaculate and spacious with big windows and lovely views. Beds were comfy. The fireplace a highlight. The kids loved the Tennis court and swimming pool. Friendly staff. We loved our stay and hope to be back again.
