Cottage Unit. and sleep-out. Self contained with functional kitchen. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings. An excellent place to relax in peaceful surroundings. Just across the road to excellent new tennis courts. A 5 minute walk to all the amenities of Matakana, including 4 restaurants, 3 bars, 3 cinema theatres,15 stylish shops, 2 art galleries and a great fish n chips shop.
Within 15 minutes of all the natural beauty of the area including Tawharanui's "Inland Island" sanctuary, Goat Island marine reserve, two super Golf courses and the boating/surfing/swimming delights of Omaha and other local beaches.
Perfect for a writing retreat, or a getaway treat for refugees from the city.
A second two bedroom cottage that sleeps six is also available at this location.

A Hidden Gem

We just completed a return stay here, and it was great as always. It’s a short walk from the village, and is therefore away from weekend busy-ness. It’s well appointed for a weekend stay, with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. We love it here.

A Gem of a Property

Absolutely perfect….quiet, but minutes from the centre of Matakana ( the Saturday market is an absolute must ). The chalet had everything we needed plus more…lovely outdoor cooking area and garden, very comfy bed, washing machine, tv with lots of channels…and Paddy, the black cat who made himself welcome within minutes as soon as he smelt the roast chicken in my bag 😊. Absolutely loved it, and will return

Little Gem in Matakana

What a lovely little place. So warm and comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful few days relaxing. It was so quiet and peaceful and only a few minutes walk to all that Matakana has to offer. We had a great stay in Matakana and would definitely return.

We had a great stay in Matakana and would definitely return. The chalet was just right for 2 people. It was decorated beautifully and was very clean and tidy. Neville recommended some great restaurants that were in easy walking distance. He then left us to settle in and do our own exploring. We also loved the breakfast basket.

Amazing amenities, this place literally had everything we could need, plus some! The renovations and layout have been well thought out, and makes the small space very practical, cosy and easily to live in. The shower was amazing and the hot water and heater came in handy when the grey skys invaded. The location was also amazing, with the village so close and yet basically with native bush (and wildlife!) on your back doorstep. Cannot compliment this place enough and full credit to the hosts.

A very comfortable and homely 1 bedroom bach, with direct access to a covered patio area bordering the garden. Far enough from the road into Matakana and the village itself to be very quiet and peaceful, but still within walking distance. Having our own BBQ under cover was welcome as it facilitated us catering for ourselves. An excellent place to saty and we would not hesitate staying there again next time we are in Matakana.
