Big house, Nice rooms: 5 bedrooms with10 beds, Suitable for 2 or 3 families or group travel.

Located in a quiet place on peninsula. very near to the seashore, Walk to the beach, beautiful nature walks and coastal cycleways, good for family vacations.

Amazing sea view, can see the city view, Sky Tower, the North Shore Bridge. BBQ area on the ground floor balcony, Suitable for family holiday in summer.

Convenient and extend in all directions, easy to go! 24 minutes driving to airport, fully highway. Only 5 km away from the Trusts Arena. 15 minutes to city center.

Big supermarkets within 800 meters: Countdown and restaurant. Easy to takeway, delivery food, Domino’s Pizza, Thai Restaurant, sushi, italy food.

Other things to note
There is a key box with keys for your room/rooms. The silver and black box is on the side of the fence. It is on your 8 if you are standing right in front of the gate. I will send you the key code. If I forgot,please ask me for it.Please input the number and take the key. When you check out please put the key back and randomize the code number. Thank you very much.

The property was perfectly suited for our two families. It could probably use a deep clean and a restock of cooking equipment and crockery to make sure there is enough of everything for the amount of people the place sleeps. Host was happy to help us out where she could.

Family Holiday

Great views over the harbour towards the bridge and the city skyline. A good number of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 11 of us that stayed. But the cleaniness of the house certainly wasn't up to, even a good standard. Dead bugs were found in some beds, and an old sock found in another bed. Would we stay again? Possibly

Netball nationals

Great location close to arena, lovely place, with views and plenty of room. All positive feedback other than no working TV remote which was not remedied (after feedback to property manager), we bought a new one and left it at the property. You can expect 10 teenagers who are hadr out playing sports to not have access to a TV to chilax in the evening after exercising all day.

Perfect stay for a wedding

About the host: Helen is a lovely host. We had 10 adults coming from overseas to attend a wedding and we wanted to book a large home to give a family wedding feel. Helen was accommodative and allowed us to physically view the property prior to booking to ensure it was exactly what we were after. She kept in regular contact with us prior to booking and ensured check in process was smooth. Furthermore, when one of our guests forgot something at the house after checking out, Helen helped us find the item. The host is excellent! Will work with Helen again! About the property: Amazing view, large bedrooms, lovely setting. We loved our stay at 8 Parani Court. ☺️☺️☺️. Thank you Helen!

Lights!

Getting a little tired and cleaning was only OK - long dark hairs in all of the 3 bathrooms. Floor needed a good vacuum. The lighting in the main room upstairs has 2-3 globes which, intermittently, would flicker or go off for a few seconds and then come on again. Provided tea bags & coffee stale, and minimal toilet paper provided. Convenience to Kumeu was important to us, and this location fulfilled this criteria.

Found it challenging to access the key lock and wrong combination for the door. Delay in accessing there property manager. The gas was connected and so was the power while we were there as they hadn't paid the bill. The VRBO platform is not the best platform for communicating in. Will not use this service again

Good base for a family gathering

The house was clean and tidy and has great views. Maintenance is below standard for what is being charged for the house. 1. Several doors bind in their frames and do not open/shut properly 2. Several lights do not work including half those in the kitchen 3. A number of lights randomly turn off/on while in use. 4. Some windows leak a lot of air when closed 5. The TV remote mostly doesn't work making the TV almost useless. The way the house was advertised was misleading. It was advertised as sleeping 15 but the price quoted was for only 4 and there is an unspecified per-person-per night charge for each extra.

Very very very disappointed, Garden not kept, all the plants are dying, weeds all over the place. Host not contactable, The host/VRBO still owes me 720 which we were over charged. The lock box codes & entrance to the house codes do not work, so could not get access to the house. The VRBO agent were willing to give me a full refund when the access to the house did not work, but do not want to refund the over-charge? How does that work? No consideration from the agent that planning a weekend like this, around an international sport event, are done months ahead of time, other investments like expensive tickets to the events etc etc. No consideration by agent/host??? The house were not properly cleaned, cockroaches dead&alive, dirty socks from previous visitors on the balcony, spiderwebs, empty drink bottles.The furniture on the balcony & garden are not well looked after - looks like it were picked up at a rubbish dump.This is a dump in such a beautiful setting.The view is beautiful, met the Neighbour’s, nice people, the kitchen and bathrooms were average condition.Can’t say much more, very disappointed in the host, not returning my calls or messages, VRBO could also have assisted more to return my funds and to make sure that my kids and friends did not have to go through this ordeal. Vet your hosts better.I have logged these complaints, I have reference numbers, but zero follow up from host/agent after the weekendPlease return the funds that you owe me-720

LARGE accomodation and there the story ends

This property was large and did cater for the 7 adults staying. The view was lovely but nothing else. The furniture is dated and some in need of repair (which is ok), I can cope with all that but not the fact that the house was unclean. the sheets were clean but no one had done any other housework. Unfortunately there were cotton buds and bits all over the floor. Smear marks on the TV. dirty bins, the front garden full of rubbish and the list goes on. The master bedroom door would not close properly as the door was a bit wide for the jam. The tap in the ensuite broken. There was thread bare carpet up the stairs to the main living, so a family member nearly tripped and fell down the stairs. Worst of all a friend at midnight when returning after a lovely day at our Son's wedding got locked in the bathroom as the door handle was loose and faulty! We had to try for an hour to get her out and I was about to call the fire brigade when I managed to get a knife under the door and she unscrewed the handle! In summary, A very dirty house is unacceptable to us. I am saddened to say it somewhat spoilt a much look forwarded to weekend with overseas friends.

Looks were deceiving. Spacious house, comfortable beds but cleanliness extremely disappointed.

Plenty of rooms with separate living spaces, fresh linen on comfortable beds. However, very disappointed to find grubby kitchen benches, dining and coffees tables had food and finger stains, crumbs. Oven top and stove greasy with burnt on food. Cupboards dirty, washed dishes before using. Under sink, smelly rags and dirty brushes etc. Fridge, dead worm and grubby shelves. Full rubbish bags in garage/laundry from a previous renter. Broken lounge suite supported on wooden boards, unstable. Another leather suite cut and ripped covered by dusty blanket. I contacted property manager via email who was sorry. We made the most of the weekend the beach is a short walk away best to take vehicle if planning picnic.

Beautiful location, wonderful house and the set up was what we needed for our rōpū. I was very impressed with the set up in rhe rooms and having extra bathrooms was a bonus. Facilities we needed was available. Loved our stay here! If there was anything to improve on it would be to update the decor and furniture as some of these where run down and things like curtain handles, legs of couch etc… where broken. However all up it was a very lovely stay and the view was the cherry on top!

Weekend golf getaway

Great communication with Helen! Place was very nice and clean! Only problem was the neighbours / neighbourhood complaining about sound @ 5pm/6pm when we were just on the deck and first days out of 100+ day lockdown, such a shame that we felt we couldn’t enjoy the view and people outside as much maybe because of past stays? Got told the property were sent a letter to be quiet from the council the day of our stay. Great place to stay if it’s a chilled weekend but seeing as it’s sleeps 15 there is always gonna be noise! Other than that the stay was good.

Accommodation not cleaned

Morning, Upon arriving to the place we where stay at we had noticed a bit of rubbish outside the place. We put the code into the lock box to follow the check process but there was no key in there. After about 20 minutes of trying to contact the host we finally managed to get through who did not believe that there was a booking as there had been someone the night before. We had already booked and paid in full well in advance but they did not know and we where well after check in time. Once finally getting in to the place we discovered that the people before us had left it in an absolute mess, takeaway boxes and food all over the place, alcohol everywhere, beds a mess, make up all through the bathrooms, rubbish all through the house.
