About this property

Acacia Bay Crows Nest

It's not a bach, it's a home with lovely lake views everywhere!!! A piece of lake paradise.

10-minute drive to town but once you've settled in, you won't want to leave the tranquility of the bay.

Plenty of space to park the boat off-street (up to 5.5 works well. Larger than that the drive creates a challenge).

Lots of room to let the kids run around and play in the yard. If they are down at the lake, they can hear you call them (or ring the cow bell) for dinner. It's that close - only150 meters away!

The indoor / outdoor flow is great for BQs and watching the sun set or rise over the lake. Due to the high deck and steep steps & stairwells, we don't recommend this property for toddlers. We want everyone to relax and enjoy the views, a glass of wine and not worry about the littlies.

THE HOUSE:
We have recently (2023-2024) renovated. We have about 80% finished. We've done a lot: new carpets, curtains, paint, deck, sofa and a few other bits & bobs. We want guests that will enjoy and respect our beautiful lake house.

Upstairs is a private room we call the “Crow's Nest”. Everyone fights over having this room - for the 360-degree views. There is a spot up there, if you prefer, like us, to have the TV there instead of in the lounge (we feel the lake is a much better watch). We just ask that you move it carefully and back downstairs, set back up ready to go before you leave.

We have provided blankets, duvets and pillows. We prefer guest to bring their own linens (sheets, pillowcases, and towels) but we can provide them for a small fee ($25 per person). Otherwise, you'll find the house fully stocked to meet your everyday needs.

DETAILS TO NOTE:
No wi-fi at the house. We hotspot off a phone, if the tech withdrawals are too severe. Find the mime at the house to get our jest about disconnecting while at the lake.

There is a required cleaning with one charge per stay.

We also offer a 10% discount for stays of a full week or more. We hope you appreciate the simplified pricing (at least from our side*) and enjoy a wonderful time at the lake. *Guest paying by credit card will incur a credit card fee from the rental platform.

PLEASE NOTE: Decks and steep stairs (inside and outside) are not suitable for Toddlers.

Remember to let us know if you need us to provide linens.

Amazing views with everything you need.
We stayed for three nights- myself and my partner, both of our mothers and our two children, 11 and 7 years old. We were blown away by the views as soon as we arrived, especially from the top bedroom. The pictures don't do it justice! The house was really spacious for all of us and it was great to have two bathrooms. The house is very well equipped with everything you need and the new carpet is lovely! Our daughter loved all of the games available and we played many of them! Both of the kids loved the space inside and out to play. It was a really peacefull neighbourhood and just a short stroll to the beach. Lynn communicated with us really well. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Amazing
Wow what can we say!! A fabulous home with the most stunning views of the lake and surrounding area. The deck and patio space is great and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the sun and views. An absolute pleasure to stay in a holiday home that is obviously loved by the owners. Very clean and extremely well equipped with everything you would find in an everyday home. We had a fantastic stay and would stay again in the blink of an eye. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your awesome home.

Lovely view, don't expect any mod cons
Firstly, Lynn communicated well throughout and her instructions on how to get to the property etc were very good. The house is basic, but nice and clean and has the most stunning view of the lake from the deck and open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner. The crow's best also has a lovely view of the lake but also of the neighbour's hot tub, so watch out! Unfortunately there is no internet, which we were surprised by in this day and age. It was a pain churning through data allowances just to find things on google maps etc. I was really disappointed to have to pay for linens, especially given the cost we had paid per night. The driveway is exceptionally steep and there is no room to turn the car around at the carport, so be prepared for either a tricky reverse up or down the upper part of the driveway. Finally - we particularly booked this place as the listing said it was so close to the Lake you could 'call your family for dinner from the house' and they'd hear you. This is just not true. To get to the Lake you have to walk down the aforementioned very steep driveway, cross the road and then walk along the road until you are past the houses that are on the lakeside. It's not a long walk, maybe 5/10 minutes, but we couldn't wander down to paddle in the water with the kids while dinner was cooking as we'd hoped from the description. Not a bad stay, but I don't think we'd stay again.

Fantastic location, fantastic house!
We had a great stay here with a group of 5 friends. The house was a good size, had everything we needed. The view is gorgeous and the grounds are lovely to relax in. Heaps of space for at least 2 cars. Communication and assistance with the owner was excellent. We felt very welcome. Thanks for a lovely stay Lynne!

Challenging stay
Would have been better had the place been cleaned before we arrived. Lovely neighbour hood but facilities need updating.

This our family holiday spot. My happy place. A great place for making wonderful family memories.

Why they chose this property

The setting is beautiful and the lake is right there and we have great neighbors.

What makes this property unique

Off street parking for boats. Boat launch nearby ~1km up the road. Plenty of space for the kids to play safely outside in the yard.
