Situated at the southern end of the settlement that still retains the character of the 50's Retro style batch will find our batch nestled in among beautiful Kanuka and other native trees enjoying privacy sun and lots of space which is ideal for the kids or for parking cars and boats. We are only 50 meters from the beach and boat launching spot.
Our batch has been recently renovated and repainted. It includes up-to-date appliances, gas cooking, and a dishwasher. We have a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and family room which is great for entertaining. We can accommodate 2 families and have a separate bunkhouse with its own bathroom.

Many days are spent on the deck watching the kids or sipping on a glass of wine or if it's cold relaxing in front of our fabulous fire. Our woodshed is always stacked with beautiful wood.


Hatepe is approximately 20 minutes from Taupo and 20 minutes to Turangi with the ski-fields a further 40 minutes away. The fly-fishing in the Hinemaimai River is some of the best with arguably some of the biggest trout in Taupo coming from this river. We have all been smashed by them but can confirm that some have come to the net just look on our wall, I may even share a secret spot or two, and the harling and trolling from the boats is brilliant right out front.

All year round there's plenty to do, walks, runs up the river, mountain biking, fishing, Sika deer hunting, or just relaxing and listening to the amazing birdlife that surrounds us this is a fabulous place to come for a relaxing weekend, holiday or a romantic getaway. We have brought all of our kids up holidaying regularly in Hatepe and have always felt that it's a very safe and caring environment. *There will be an increased charge of $75 per night on the nightly rate if the bunkhouse is used in addition to the main home. Cleaning will be undertaken by a local cleaner and this is charged at the rate of $40 per hour with a minimum 3-hour charge for the home and 1 hour for the bunkhouse charged at the outset and is additional to the nightly rate.
