Cleaning should be more thorough - the shower wasn’t cleaned properly, there were hair everywhere, the floors were not vacuumed/washed and some of the utensils would need replacement!

We pride ourselves on cleanliness and normally have very positive reviews about the tidiness and cleanliness of the house. We apologise that this wasn't up to standard. If you had made us aware of this we would absolutely have addressed this immediately. We appreciate your feedback.
Such a beautiful place to stay. The hosts have put lots of thought and love into creating a lovely retreat. The location is divine and the many walks are perfect. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you we loved staying in your beautiful part of New Zealand. And if we are back in Titirangi for another family function would love to be able to stay her again..
Great location, and just a short drive to visit family in the area.
house was perfect for our needs and the air conditioning was a life saver in the summer heat. Kids loved the swing, trampoline and air hockey table available.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! We were on the tale end of a seven week trip and booked your place to have a place to wind down. It was such a treat to be in nature yet close to amenities and the City for a little site seeing.

Jason has a wonderful house, very organic and accommodating!
Great location near Titirangi and halfway between the city and the Western Beaches. Home owners live next door and were very kind and welcoming. Plenty of privacy. Easy to find everything we needed in the home.

About the host
Hosted by Jason & Salome
Your hosts are Jason and Salome. We have two children, Luca is 19 and Amelie is 16 years old. Jason and Salome have been married for 21 years. Jason was born in New Zealand and Salome was born in The Netherlands and immigrated with her family when she was 6 years old. Salome can still speak Dutch and some limited French. Before having children Jason and Salome traveled around Europe and have been back once with their children. As a family we enjoy the bush walks around us and also traveling around New Zealand or overseas when we can.
Why they chose this property
If you want to be close enough to the center of Auckland city but still enjoy the tranquility of a bush setting then this is definitely the place for you. Here you can certainly enjoy the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
This really is a location where you can enjoy the best of both worlds. There are the ever changing bush views and native birds. There are bush walks on your doorstep and there a numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
There are great cafes and eateries only 5 minutes drive away as well as Te Uru, the local art gallery. Further there are local markets as well as some a further drive away that we can recommend. This is a north facing house that gets all day sun, and it is in a quiet location. However if you are missing the hustle and bustle of the city then Auckland City center is only a 30min drive away. Why not take a day out to explore some of the nearby islands. Tiritirmatangi, for example is a local bird sanctuary, which is well worth a visit.
If you just want to sit back and relax then the house has a large selection of books for you to enjoy during your stay.
