Absolute Beach Front Bayview Napier New Zealand

Biddy and Brin would like to welcome you to their beautiful architecturally designed waterfront home situated in sunny Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. We offer you a comfortable stay along with warm hospitality and absolutely uninterrupted access to the water's edge.

The studio has been totally converted from Sue Schaare's original art studio where she did all her painting. Sue is a well know NZ artist. Although we have modernised the studio, we have tried to keep its original ambiance. The studio faces west and has lovely sunsets filtering through the olive trees. There is a lovely courtyard just off the studio for guests to sit an relax, or beautiful decks on the sea side of the house for their pleasure.

Located in Bay View, just north of the Hawke's Bay airport and only 8 kms from Napier CBD, we boast beautiful views eastward towards Mahia Peninsular, Napier Port and Bluff Hill. Westward the view is rural towards the Kaweka ranges.

Airport pick-up is offered or if you are travelling by car we have ample off street parking available.

Experience the magic of the sun rising out of the Pacific Ocean from our beautiful beach front and, on that special night, the full moon rising over the horizon. A hot spa pool over looking the beach is available for guests to use at their leisure.

Take advantage of our local Snapper Park cafe ( an 8 minute walk). In season experience our local grown summer fruits just a few minutes down the road.

As we are on a national walk/cycle way, you may like to enjoy a walk or cycle ride. Alternatively a quiet walk along the beach, soaking up the Hawke's Bay sunshine, can be extremely invigorating.

We have a variety of cycles available for use by guests, including a tandem cycle.

Whether you are visiting Napier for our famous Art Deco celebrations or the Mission Concerts or just taking time out in one of the sunniest places in New Zealand, we will endeavor to make your stay an enjoyable one.

A stunning property with a very warm welcome. Fall to sleep to the background sound of waves. Close to everything, but a lovely quiet spot to relax. Brin and Biddy are great hosts. Was a birthday night stay and was made special with a treat left in the room. Thank you for the memories.

Lovely spot, lovely weather (mostly, but it was winter) and hosts were friendly

With the beach just beyond the spa pool, it means there are no lights to blank out the stars when in the tub. The sculptures made for good photos too.

A delightful studio by the bay

The Studio at Absolute Beach Front Bay View is a lovely place to stay. Bay View is a delightful location 10 minutes’ drive to Napier. The waterfront location is superb with a short walk over the pebble beach to the water. The Studio adjacent to the main house is self contained with a kitchenette and all you need for a comfortable stay. Brin and Biddy are very warm and friendly hosts who ensure your comfort and enjoyment.

The little studio was perfectly kitted out for our stay. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy, and it had a really nice feel and was tastefully decorated. Staying right on the beach is just awesome and we had use of the spa whenever we wanted. There were bikes and paddle boards to use for some activities which was perfect. Brin and Biddy really do have a special property there right on the beach front. I could not have found a better place to celebrate a birthday weekend!

Couldn’t recommend this accomodation more. Brin and biddy were so lovely and helpful. The accomodation and location are beautiful. Having the use of bikes to get to and from nearby cafes and restaurants and into Napier was fantastic and swimming at beach and spa tub after was fabulous. Can’t wait to visit and stay here again in the future.
