Gun Lake Cottage - Bonfire, AC, Full Kitchen, Gazebo! Dock your boat or rent one

Cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a full kitchen, AC, heat, laundry room, towels, pillows, blankets, bonfire, dock, and more! One bedroom has a queen size bed while the other has a full size bed. We also have 2 queen size air mattresses to use. The Gazebo is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing at night. Fire up the grill or use the bonfire. We’re on the channel and have a dock you can use for your own boat or rent our pontoon (additional cost, please ask). We even have a 5-person pedal boat and 2 kayaks you are more than welcome to use to explore! You’ll have a great time out on Gun Lake! The sunrises/sunsets are gorgeous!

We enjoyed our week vacation at this lakeside home. We brought our boat and enjoyed each day on the lake and the peaceful evenings lounging under the gazebo. The home is well-equipped with anything needed for a stay.

We rented this home for a last-minute trip to Gun Lake with our pontoon boat. The house itself was clean, and the dock was by far the best feature. Being able to keep our boat just steps from the house on a quiet canal with quick access to the main lake made boating very convenient.Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by the condition of the property and surrounding neighborhood. The yard at the rental was overgrown with tall grass and weeds and should have been mowed before our arrival. A lawn crew didn’t come until the morning we were leaving.Our biggest concern was the immediate neighborhood. Two houses down was a property we later confirmed had been cited by the county. A loose pit bull from that property was roaming the area during our stay, which was especially concerning since we had our 7-pound Chihuahua with us. On the other side of the rental was what appeared to be a vacant, overgrown lake house. Together, the neighboring properties made us feel unsafe walking around or spending time outside after dark.None of this is visible in the listing photos. Had we known what the immediate surroundings were like, we would have chosen a different rental. If boating access is your priority, this property delivers. If the overall setting and neighborhood are important to you, it’s something to consider before booking.
