Overall we enjoyed ourt stay in quiet little Granby, playing tourist in our own local state. This was a great location as far as being central to Grand Lake, Granby Lake and more surrounding parks and trails. The backyard was great to let the dogs roam about without worry of them running away or escaping. I would recommend keeping up with the yard though, the grass and weeds were very high (only real complaint). Only leather furniture in hot summer months also might not be the best furniture option (HOT/STICKY). Otherwise the home was clean and suited our needs for a short 3 night stay.

It was the perfect property for our family getaway! Both of our college aged sons were able to join us for the weekend. They are really into fly fishing and found several great places to fish. The cabin was super dog friendly. We brought our own dog bed and blankets but there was a really comfy dog bed already there! The fenced yard was perfect for the dogs and for hanging out. We grilled burgers, ate at the picnic table and the boys played darts and ring toss. We never did use the fire pit but we meant to. We walked to get Chinese takeout on Saturday night. There is so much within walking distance! We took day trips to Lake Grandby and Williams Fork Reservoir. We did a lot of hiking and the weather was perfect. We also got to see the Broncos beat the Giants in the cozy living room! Loved our stay!

The cabin suited our needs very well. It was clean and style was nice. Check-in and check out process went smoothly. Location was close to stores if we needed anything. The street we were on was nice and quiet overall. We occasionally have some traffic late at night in the back alley, but nothing major. We were close to a park for our kids. Granby has several options for parks that are great for young kids, including one with a fishing pond. Backyard was great for our family and dogs to hang out. Owner was understanding and flexible with our requests regarding our dogs. Really the only minor issue was the main bed was a little squeaky when you shifted in bed and had to be a bit careful not to wake kids that were sleeping just on the other side of the wall, and can be light sleepers sometimes. It was comfortable though so we slept well overall. We would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Last second trip

We had a last second decision to stay in Granby for a loss of a family member in the area. Super easy to find as it’s right off the main road right in the middle of town. Everything we needed was there if we needed a glass of water in the night it was accessible with a filter on the sink. Very comfy couch it lounge in and speak with family. Comfy bed, family slept on futon and it was on the thinner side so kinda woke up sore. Had hot showers in the morning for 2 people. Heater kept us warm at night even when it snowed over night. Was able to clean our clothes before taking off the morning of check out. Had plenty of things and games laying around if you came for better moments and were stuck there.
