We loved everything ! Cleanliness of house was excellent. We enjoyed the setting, very peaceful with a view. Lovely deck, we enjoyed with mild temperatures in December. Christmas decorations were much appreciated since we arrived on Christmas Day. Kitchen fully stocked. Beds terrific!

Very classy rental

The place was clearly professionally decorated, it is practically stunning. The beds were very comfortable, it was very clean and communication with the owner was very positive. The location was very good as well. I'd like to have stayed longer; I really enjoyed hanging out on the nicely furnished porch.

We (3 retired siblings) traveled to Hickory, NC area to visit with our oldest sister! The accommodations were very nice for sitting together and enjoying the company of each other. We had not been together in over a year. The kitchen/living room area was so comfortable for this. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect and very comfortable! the views and surrounding areas was very pretty. It was just what we needed. I would highly recommend this property. We are very glad we made the trip to visit distant family.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay. In town for my son’s wedding so this house was perfect for my family of five. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, extra linens, and supplied kitchen. Loved the back porch even though we weren’t there enough to enjoy it. Would definitely stay here again when we come to visit!!

Lake vacation

The property was well done. Master bath was quite nice. It rained for most of our stay ,but was ok as we were friends meeting after 2 years to catch up. The covered porch was delightful. We spent most of our time there. It would be nice to have written directions for TV. Overall very enjoyable.

Excellent stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was excellently appointed and it is obvious the owner put in a lot of time and effort to design this property. It was very clean as well. Daniel is an excellent host, communicating well and even helping with local information. We were in town for a wedding and wish we had time to rent a boat / watercraft to explore the lake. Highly recommend!

Relaxation

Our stay was amazing. Check-in was a breeze, the property was clean and well maintained. The back porch is amazing. We enjoyed sitting in the deck, fishing, catching toads and watching the turtles. The water is shallow so we only caught small fish. We had hoped to see fireworks for this 4th of July trip and to our surprise the neighborhood let off an amazing show not far from the house that we could see from the deck. The only bad thing I could say is the gate on the deck doesn't latch correctly and that should be fixed but we just block the steps with a bin the had to keep my under 1 locked in. We would definitely return to this house.

Lovely property for a holiday in North Carolina

I stayed at the property for 10 days with my 11 year old son, and my aunt who joined us later.The property is really nicely presented with nice beds and decor, I really liked the art on the walls. It felt very much like staying in someone's home as opposed to a holiday let. Whilst we didn't do a lot of cooking everything we needed was there in terms of kitchen appliances/utensils.Out back there is a great raised decking area overlooking the lake to eat outside, and a dock for if you rent a boat or have kayaks.Really easy check in and out via a lockbox. If you are checking out you need to press the reset button inside lockbox before you close it otherwise it doesn't lock when you are returning the key. Good location with close proximity to Hickory restaurants and roads to travel elsewhere.

Just what we needed!

From the moment we opened the door we knew we would love this house. The entire place was spotless and it smelled so clean. All the furniture was very comfortable esp the king bed and we are picky about beds. The back deck over looking the water is so nice. It was really hot when we went so we couldn't enjoy it long enough but there are nice fans that helped us enjoy it for a little while. The patio furniture is also very comfortable. Our favorite area of the whole place is definitely the master bathroom. It was a dream. It felt like we were at a spa with how relaxing it was. All our needs as far as towels, blankets, cooking utensils, dishes, etc were provided which was very nice we didn't have to pack. It was very quiet and we got some much needed relaxation time even though it was a short stay. We hope to go back in the near future and stay a little longer. We have stayed at a lot of houses and this one hands down is at the top of our list. Thanks Daniel for letting us stay at your beautiful house and for being available if we needed anything!

Cute place that needs a little attention/TLC

This is a cute place in a quiet area. It's comfortable for 5 but there's no indoor dining space other than 3 stools at the kitchen island. The 5 of us couldn't eat inside together. The porch facing the lake is HUGE, covered, & wonderful. But it was so hot that we couldn't enjoy it fully (90 degrees in June). The AC unit can't handle that kind of heat. It stayed 73-74 degrees inside even with shades pulled and ceiling fans on & it was humid inside, so it didn't seem to be working well. Bathroom towel racks & paper holders are not secured to the walls. They need attention. Kitchen is fully stocked but left no space for renters to put food in cabinets. I like a clean kitchen with no clutter. There needs to be at least one cabinet for nonperishables. The TV was hard to use. Cell service is poor & WiFi was in & out. Print or screenshot checkin instructions before arrival or you may not be able to access the door code in the app or online. Primary bed is big but really soft. My husband's back was sore every morning. If you need firm, this isn't it. The primary bath is nice & well laid out. Hot water on demand is great. The shower door does leak a lot of water onto the floor. Extra towels are provided to clean it up. You will do a lot of soaking up even after a short shower. Water at the dock is low so if you're bringing a boat w/a motor, be prepared to have to trim up fully to get in/out of the cove. Loved the wildlife. Saw herons, deer, ducklings, owl right on our lot!

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- This home was designed without a formal indoor dining area, but there is ample covered seating on the spacious porch, which includes fans to help with airflow during warmer months.- The A/C unit is brand new and was recently serviced. On especially hot days, it may struggle to maintain lower indoor temperatures, especially if doors are opened frequently. The smart TV is a standard Samsung model with built-in streaming capabilities, and we are happy to help with instructions if needed.- The cabinets above the laundry area are intended for guest food storage. We would have been happy to point this out if contacted us during your stay.- There was a temporary internet outage in the area during your stay due to local service work. The home typically has high-speed internet.- The mattress in the primary bedroom is a Tempur-Pedic, selected for its quality, but we understand that mattress preferences vary and are sorry it wasn't a great fit for you.Thanks for sharing your experience.
