Birkie Weekend

This was a perfect little place for us during the Birkie weekend. Perfect for a family of 4 (two little kids) The bar/restaurant was a typical snow mobile bar/restaurant vibe with decent food. the only issue with the cabin was the water pressure of the shower was so strong we didn’t use it. This was only fine because of our short stay.

Chief Lake Lodge is and always has been a family owned and operated business. We run a family friendly resort.
Pride in ownership is evident as the grounds are always maintained, the restaurant is up and running, and there are flowers abound. Our food is always warm your glasses will be full and you are always welcome!

Why they chose this property

We are located on the Chippewa Flowage. Come vacation with us on Wisconsin's largest unspoiled wilderness lake. With most of its lakeshore undeveloped, the "Big Chip" offers over 17,000 acres with hundreds of islands and quiet bays that provide shelter and seclusion to fishermen and boaters alike. Fish for Muskie, walleye, crappie, panfish, perch, northern pike and small and largemouth bass.
In the fall, enjoy the Northwoods' colorful beauty while hiking or hunting the national forest and state lands. There is plentiful game such as grouse, squirrel, rabbit, woodcock, bear, and deer.
Enjoy winter activities like ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on miles of groomed state snowmobile trails.

What makes this property unique

All four seasons offer unique benefits to enjoy, from snowmobiling in the winter to swimming, fishing, and boating in the summer. But there is so much more to do!
This is a place to see old friends and to meet new ones.
