BnB The Attic - Spacious luxury retreat - ideal for families and groups

Welcome to BnB The Attic – a warm and stylish attic retreat in Maldegem, ideally located between Bruges, Ghent, Sluis, the Zwin nature reserve and the Belgian coast. Our spacious loft is perfect for families or groups looking for comfort, charm, and excellent value for money in a peaceful residential setting.

The space
You’ll be staying on the top floor of our home: a bright attic room of 80 m², lovingly furnished with attention to comfort and detail. The room includes:

3 comfortable double beds (180cm, 160cm, 140cm) – available depending on your booking size

1 extra pull-out single bed

A cosy lounge and dining area

Air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth speaker

A private bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and hairdryer

In-room Nespresso coffee machine and Special.T tea maker (with complimentary pods)

You’ll sleep in one large, open-plan space – great for families or close friends. Note: there is no individual sleeping privacy, as all beds are in the same room.

Kitchen access
While the attic does not have its own kitchen, you’re welcome to use the fully equipped luxury kitchen on the ground floor. This shared space includes:

Fridge, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, water boiler, dishwasher, cookware, plates, and cutlery

Use of the kitchen is in coordination with the owner, and we’ll gladly make arrangements that suit everyone’s comfort.

Location
Maldegem is perfectly located for day trips to:

Bruges (20 min) – historic canals, cobbled streets and Belgian charm

Ghent (35 min) – a vibrant mix of history and creativity

Sluis (15 min) – a Dutch border town known for shopping and gastronomy

The Zwin Nature Park & Belgian coast (30 min) – nature, dunes, and the sea

The Meetjesland region – ideal for walking and cycling adventures

You’ll also find lots of restaurants nearby, including some of the region’s finest eateries, all within a short drive or walk.

Clean, honest and no-nonsense
We take quality seriously – clean linens, soft towels, and a tidy space are guaranteed. We value a good price-quality balance and make sure everything is in top condition before your arrival.

We don’t serve breakfast, but you’ll find plenty of cosy breakfast spots in the town centre. If really needed, we can provide a breakfast basket – just let us know in advance.

No baby crib or high chair available

This is one large room – perfect for families and close-knit groups, but not for guests who require separate bedrooms

The attic space is private, but entrance, hallway, stairs and kitchen are shared

The owner lives on-site – this is our family home, and you’ll be warmly welcomed (in person if we’re home, or via a keypad if not)
