About this property
One of Maleny's best-kept secrets
Escape to Everest, a gracious c. 1903 Queenslander in the heart of the Maleny hinterland. Surrounded by lush gardens and just 4 minutes from the township of Maleny, Everest is an original, classic farmhouse of the area.
Perfect for romantic escapes, girls' or 'hens' weekends, family getaways, or elegant wedding accommodation close to Maleny’s renowned venues. Breathe in the crisp mountain air, unwind by the fire pit under a canopy of stars and witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
Everest provides private ground-level accommodation for up to nine guests with a large living space flowing out onto wrap-around terraces and stunning gardens. There is a choice of three beautifully appointed bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen plus a barbecue area.
The bedrooms all have stunning garden outlooks, queen-sized beds, high ceilings, fans, heaters and terracotta tiled floors. The Hydrangea Bedroom offers delightful garden and lawn views through glass sliding doors. The Geranium Bedroom is Almalfi styled with a picture garden window. The Wisteria Bedroom has direct access to a private Tuscan courtyard and is ideally suited for a family of three, with a queen bed and a king single bed. Pure cotton bed linen, duvets and blankets are provided.
There are two bathrooms, while not ultra-modern, there is a heated deep spa bath, shower and toilet in one. The second bathroom has a shower which can also be used as a bath for small children, toilet and make-up vanity.
The living-dining area offers spacious, casual entertaining with Italian terracotta floor tiles and extra-large sofa, large dining table and smart TV. The library has a well-stocked bookshelf providing hours of reading and extra sofa which doubles an extra double bed. The spaces all flow seamlessly into the garden via a clever moving wall.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with a refrigerator, fan-forced oven, hotplate and microwave, crockery, cutlery, coffee machine and more.
Quality tea, coffee & chocolate and coffee machine are provided along with local milk, fresh sourdough bread and Continental breakfast supplies for your first morning. If you require extra supplies this can easily be arranged, just let us know and we can order it for you.
On arrival, you are greeted by a level, tennis court-sized, grassy area, much loved for wedding photography or a game of croquet. Discover water features, bird baths, a gazebo, a Tuscan-style courtyard and many other private spots to sit and enjoy nature and the birds who visit.
The 'Lakehouse' garden pavilion is ideal to enjoy alfresco dining. A large BBQ is available for you to cook your own meals.
Wander the grounds to discover the gazebo, a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and covered in grape vines at certain times of the year. During cooler months, the fire pit is a wonderful spot to gather and enjoy the starry sky.
Discover the true delight of 'Everest' gardens. If you have a passion for flowers, flora, plants and trees, plus a seasonal orchard - you will not be disappointed by the variety. There is always something to delight at all times of the year. There are too many species of plants to mention, but the azaleas, camellias, orchids, heliconias, and hydrangeas are but a few.
When in season, the orchard offers a variety of fruits for you to savour during your stay, including oranges, mandarins, lemonades, lemons, and grapefruit.

What makes this property unique
Everest is unique in that it is one of very few original former working farms - renovated over the years and on a smaller block today, which operates as a BnB. The beautiful established gardens which cover over an acre are a draw-card to many.
