Christchurch is still rebuilding after the devastating 2011 earthquake, and construction projects continue throughout the city. Please anticipate some road noise and potential travel disruptions. However, the close proximity to nearly everything central makes it well worth it.
Christchurch is easy to navigate, with a network of cycleways, public transportation, roads, and footpaths. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also convenient to book.
Please read, understand, and agree to our house rules prior to booking. We have set quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM to be considerate of our neighbours. 1. The most important rule. Have fun!
2. You`ll be staying in someone`s home, so please treat it with care and respect.
3. Checking in and out. Check-in at 4 pm unless arranged prior Check-out at 10 am unless arranged prior
Any deviation from this is by request only in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. Unapproved late check-outs and check-ins will be charged $100/hour.
4. During your stay, only the number of guests confirmed at the time of your booking are permitted to stay. If you bring more people than agreed upon in your reservation, you will be asked to leave without refund and / or charged an extra $70 per person per night.
5. The booker or primary guest must be 25+ .
6. This is a multi storey apartment with two flights of stairs so not suitable for very young children or elderly.
7. Pets are NOT allowed. If you bring a pet, you will be asked to leave without a refund. If you bring a pet and any incident happens with your pet and any other person or animal, the homeowners are not liable. Any damage caused by your pets inside will result in a $200 extra cleaning fee plus all replacement costs for any further damages.
7. Quiet hours 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. No loud noise outside after 10:00 pm. As we are in a residential complex, guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbours.
8. Parking, Car Entry and Exit As the apartment is on a gated complex, please park inside the garage or if outside, do not block other resident’s access to the gates. Please follow our detailed instructions in your check-in message. The complex is a one way system - drive through the complex to exit, please do not use the entry gate. The exit gate does not need a gate code, it has a weight sensor as you slowly approach the gate in your car. Both gates will auto close by themselves.
9. No parties or events and no commercial photography. Only pre-approved gatherings are permitted.
10. Smoking, Vaping and Drugs Smoking including vaping is NOT allowed inside and drugs of any kind are NOT permitted in the property. Any damage caused by these actions will result in a $200 extra cleaning fee plus all the replacement costs of any other further damages.
11. Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order, removing any item from the property, including linens, and living & kitchen furnishings, is not permitted and you will be charged accordingly if anything is removed.
12. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Should any damage occur, please notify the hosts immediately. Any damage to any items at the property, including couches, chairs, tables, wall arts, TVs, beds, sheets, towels, pillows, etc., are the responsibility of the renter. Every item will be looked at before arrival and after departure.
13. Maintenance is not available during your stay unless it`s urgent ( water leakage, blocked sewer, broken windows/doors ). If something is broken or not working ( dishwasher, microwave, etc ) please let us know! We will repair/replace after your stay. Any minor issues e.g. ice water dispenser is not working, please message us. We will be happy to assist you.
14. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities, as well as loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
15. Before you leave, we ask that the items below be completed to help our housekeeper prepare for the next guest:
Please empty the fridge and put your rubbish / recycling in their designated bins which are located in the structure at the back side of the complex. Please refer to the poster on the internal garage and front doors. Please load all dishes into the dishwasher and run. Please leave sheets and comforters on the beds. Please lock all doors and all windows upon departure
16. If you think you cannot honour these rules, we ask you not to book.

We have stayed at a few properties in Christchurch in a similar location this was by far the best. Well appointed, quality beds, linen, towels etc. Complimentary snacks were a great surprise addition. Communication with owners very good and easy instructions. The home was clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
