The perfect base for your Christchurch Stay, located truly in the heart of the city. A sleek contemporary townhouse with the added bonus of a courtyard garden. Leave the car at home and simply step out the door - a vast array of eateries, shops and other amenities is just a short stroll away. Wander to the Avon river and follow the riverside walking trail to Te Pae, Oxford Terrace or further to the Botanic Gardens or the burgeoning Arts Precinct.

The north facing open-plan living is cleverly designed to bring the outdoors in. Large bifold doors can be pushed back to connect the securely fenced wraparound courtyard garden extending the living area and creating a superb sense of space. A gas fire lends ambience to the sitting area and overlooking the dining area is a beautiful high spec kitchen with a gas cooktop and stainless steel counter.

Upstairs, arranged along a light-filled gallery, are three double bedrooms, including a spacious master with WIR and tiled en suite plus a family bathroom with separate bath.

Off street parking is either inside the internal access garage (small cars only) or in front of the garage.

NB The open staircase makes this home unsuitable for babies, toddlers and the less mobile.

Wonderful home and location

Our group of six, which included two kids, thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the house was modern, clean, and comfortable. The house is warm and has a gas fireplace in the lounge which we really appreciated. The kitchen is great to cook in - spacious with high-end appliances and a six-burner cooktop and two ovens. The location is great - walkable to a Christchurch tram stop and Margaret Mahy Park. Highly recommend!

Well equipped modern house in good location

The house was just as described. It was very well equipped and the hosts were very responsive. The location was very convenient for the centre of Christchurch, and it was great to be able to kerp the car in a garage.

Modern, clean, walking distance to city center

Even though it was next to a busy street it was quieter than expected. Had everything we could need and we felt warmly welcomed when we arrived to the property. Use of garage was nice— it fit our Toyota hilander just fine. Nice walk to town to experience Christchurch. Thank you!

Comfortableodern home.

Our 8th Bach this 5 week trip. 3 nights within walking distance of city centre and main attractions before flying home to the UK. Large garage meant parking and luggage handling was easy. Comfortable modern home.

Perfect guest house

This is a great house for visiting ChristChurch. It is walking distance from the heart of town, so easy to walk to restaurants, the botanical gardens or stores. The house is very zen -- super clean, uncluttered and yet very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. We appreciated having a garage -- made packing and unpacking easy. Very nice place.

Comfortable Stylish Home in Great Location

Well designed home incorporating a sleek interior, expansive glass and privacy as well. Comfortable beds with quality linens. Parking in the garage with a small/mid SUV wasn't a problem. Two bedrooms with ensuite and a half bath on the lower level was perfect for two couples.

Lovely Townhouse in terrific location

The townhouse has a great open floor plan with lots of light/windows. The gas fireplace in the lounge area was a very nice cozy feature. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a laundry room was a big plus. The walk to downtown was picturesque, easy and took just a few minutes. Ken, the property manager (owner) responded quickly to messages, was very friendly and helpful. This is a great VRBO for a visit to Christchurch! I would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to my family for their next trip to NZ.

Good base for short stay in Christchurch

Property fully met expectations based on description in VRBO. Main living area - kitchen, dining table and lounge area - open plan and well-equipped. We had a couple of hot days - so really appreciated bring able to open up the large bi-fold doors. 10-15 mins walk into central Christchurch, so location worked for us. Although we didn't need it, good to have on-site parking. Hosts thoughtful. Communicated well brfore our visit and responded very quickly to a couple of practical questions when we got there.

We had a Lovely stay in this unit, close to the city, great location. Clean and lovely modern decor. We appreciated the lovely welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine from Ken and Jenny. We would recommend adding to the property listing information about there being no TV.

Central delight

Very comfortable beds. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The house looks at it does in the pictures. It is central but a bit of a walk to the market right in downtown. Lucky lime scooters are everywhere! Plenty of space for 6 adults. The bean bag was popular! Would be nice to have had a little milk in the house for morning coffee as there was not an open convenience store nearby. No TV but we weren't there for that. The gas fire was lovely and a nice surprise. Thank you for the gift on arrival Ken and Jenny!

Illuminated holiday business trip

My partner and I stayed here to attend both a family wedding and present a business talk in Christchurch. The townhouse was superb. Beautiful morning to evening daylighting bathed within the townhouse. Creating a relaxing ambience from dusk to dawn.We love to walk. Staying here allowed us to walk to the city for our business presentation talk, restaurants and excellent gym.Our hire car easily parked within the closed garage and location very suitable to driveaway out to the beach at Sumner and Lyttelton.Perfect place to rest up and connect to the Christchurch lifestyle.

Great stay in a good location !

The property was conveniently located and perfect for our group of 5 adults. Communication with the owners was excellent, and they were responsive and provided helpful advice on things to do/places to eat etc. We had no trouble parking our van in the garage - which was very convenient. There is some street noise, but this did not bother us. The fridge is small - but that wasn’t an issue for us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms/ showers were clean with plenty of hot water. It would be helpful to have a “cheat sheet” highlighting the closest local supermarket, coffee shop, and recommended restaurants and activities. Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommended.
