Terrible!!! Your owner was there and said he canceled my reservation the day before arrival! He did not and now I’m having to fight with the management company to get a refund. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
Everything about this place that we rented was great all the way from the cleaniness of the house down to the description of how to do everything. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay there!
The house was clean and very comfortable. Accurate listing! Nice quiet neighborhood spot; easy walk to downtown New Hartford and a quick drive to the Utica Zoo.
I loved it! It's not the Hilton, but it was absolutely PERFECT for me, my brother, and cousin. The neighborhood is super nice -- clean, quiet, SAFE. Very convenient to my relatives in Utica and Rome. There are a few things I would suggest to make it even better, but nothing major I would definitely book it again. Thank you for a great stay!!
I understood I was renting an older house that wasn’t updated. I did not expect it to be as unclean as it was. And there is still work to do to fix cracked tiles, unattached sinks, falling off shower doors and etc.

The price was right (before all the ridiculous fees) if you are looking for an independent youth hostel feel. The place was not clean and if it had been a hotel and we had anywhere else to stay, we would have turned around and left. We could look past the run-down and battered nature of the house but there was an unacceptable amount of grime in the bathroom and kitchen we had to clean ourselves. Someone else’s food had been left in the fridge. Ceiling fans were covered in dust and grime. Pillows were flat and dirty (under linens). There was no toilet paper or paper towels when we arrived, no dishwasher soap and the batteries in tv remote were dead. One bedroom tv had no remote. There were also no outside garbage cans. Carpets were full of stains. Property manager did arrange for house owner to meet us to give us money for the things we had to buy but it wasn’t practical for us to meet up with them due to our schedule and so we refused the offer. The price charged by the actual homeowner was reasonable considering the run down nature of the house but once all the Vrbo fees were added, it ceases to be a good deal considering the cleaning you will likely want to do before sleeping there.

From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback, Tory. We're truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, especially regarding the cleanliness and condition of the home. We take these matters seriously and have begun working with a new cleaning company to ensure that future guests receive the level of care and preparation they deserve. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and are committed to making meaningful improvements."
The first day we received a call 45 minutes prior to checking in that we would be delayed by half and hour because of a big cleaning issue, no problem as long as its done in that time frame. We got there an hour later and the cleaning lady a very nice lady who was doing a great job under the circumstances was still overwhelmed. The garbage was piled in the garage and did it stink she had a plan to remove within a couple of days but the owner said couldn't or didn't have the money for the bags so the garbage stayed the entire time we were there and we couldn't even use the garage it stunk so bad. The stink then went down into the basement because the basement doesn't seal, so the basement then stunk. picture attached. 2nd issue unfinished bathroom. Window, tape present on window, not finished, now window covering, and walls not finished. pictures attached. 3rd issue. Floors were in very poor condition, not only were they covered with plastic and duct tape, which left them slippery and trippable, but the carpets under the living room and dining room area were very dirty. limited pictures.along with electrical wiring issues. The cleaning lady did what she could we cannot doubt she did what she could under the conditions she and timing she had to work with. We would have left right after we arrived but since everything we booked with the boilermaker in town we were stuck.. We were told we could use the garage but we couldn't because it stunk so badly. Never again
