My family and enjoyed every part of our vacation. The house is very quaint and has everything you need. The host is accommodating, we arrived earlier than 4:00 and the house was already clean so we were able to check in early. The house is within walking distance to downtown which is a plus. Even though we did not bring pets the fenced in back yard was big enough for dogs to enjoy the outside. I give this place 5 stars.

Betts is very responsive and easy to work with. The house is a very nice place to stay and welcomes pets as well (the fenced backyard is wonderful). We had a great time in Rice cottage. Very well stocked kitchen, nice decor and loved the screened porch and the fenced garden. Georgetown is an interesting town and the cottage's proximity to downtown is a major plus. Highly recomended.

I am retired and was born in Georgetwon. SC, growing up just around the corner on Meeting Street and then Hopsewee Plantation, where I lived until I moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. I studied Art and Architectural History. After working for the City of Charleston, I moved to Murfreesboro, TN (Near Nashville). There I raised two sons and was the Director of Building and Codes for the City of Murfreesboro. My claim to some fame is having been married to Roy C Nixon who was former Sheriff and then Mayor of Memphis/Shelby County who knew Elvis Presley very well. My two sons, Wellons and Collins Harrelson help manage the Rice Cottage.

Guests love the screened in porch that runs the length of the house and the old English patio. The front and back yards are nicely landscaped.

Inside we have the cottage well stocked for your living and cooking needs. The kitchen is large and open to the living and dining areas, so it makes for a grand cooking and visiting space. Read our reviews... they tell out story best!
