Refuge - Visconde de Mauá: river, sauna and fresh air

Itatiaia National Park, founded in 1937, has the honour of being the first national park in Brazil. Here, where the Atlantic Forest meets the imposing Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range, lies our Visconde de Mauá Refuge. What was once a farm dedicated to milk and cheese production, accessible only on horseback, has now been transformed into a refuge, nestled among abundant flowing waters and native araucaria trees. Our Refuge has two bedrooms and accommodates up to 6 people.
