About this property
A New Pet Friendly Getaway in Alert Bay
We are thrilled to welcome you to our home on the Namgis First Nation territory in Alert Bay. The space is private, pet friendly, and perfect for anyone on vacation or here for work/business.The home is very spacious and beautifully decorated with original First Nations artwork designed by your host, Donald Ozzie Wadhams, a proud Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw artist.
This is a 2 story house. You will have access to the entire upstairs. Downstairs is currently empty. You’ll find everything you need to feel right at home: a spacious living room, full bathroom with a tub and shower, complimentary on-site laundry, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Step outside onto the large, sun-soaked patio deck—your own oasis. Enjoy outdoor dining with a BBQ, relax on the swing, or unwind in the air-up hot tub. Comfortable patio furniture makes it a perfect spot to take in the fresh air and sunshine.
To help you explore the island, we’ve included two bikes with your stay—perfect for cruising around town and taking in the sights.
There’s so much our little island has to offer!
Surrounded by ocean and mountains, Alert Bay is a place of breathtaking beauty and deep cultural roots. Enjoy exploring the beaches, wandering through the trails (Gator Gardens), or the scenic boardwalk that stretches along the shoreline.
Take in the sights of our vibrant community, from the world’s tallest totem pole to our ceremonial Big House. Dive into the living history and rich traditions of our Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw people at the U’mista Cultural Centre—an inspiring and educational experience for all visitors.
If you’re looking to expand your adventure, we highly recommend Sea Wolf Adventures—an Indigenous-owned tour company offering unforgettable cultural and wildlife tours through the Great Bear Rainforest. Cruise through pristine waters, where you may spot orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, and bears all while guided by local knowledge keepers who share the stories and spirit of this land and sea.
