We had a room in the carriage house which was a basement room, but is was nicely finished and clean. Easy walk to the pedestrian open street that has lots of shops and restaurants....

The code we were given did not work for the entry door delaying usgetting into the unit - - It wasn't just us, but other guests could not getinto the building - - Ultimately, someone came and gave us access with another code, but our code didn't work the entire weekend.

Charming buildings and a comfortable room. The bathroom is generously sized and supplied. Entry codes are easy to use & I felt the room was secure. I did not have occasion to used the kitchen or pool. Location is ideal to enjoy downtown Charlottesville: I explored the mall & was able to walk to a dinner reservation & the party I was attending. The Sunday morning farmers market across the street was a nice bonus!
