The hosts Carmel and Brett are so welcoming and lovely. The BNB more than exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend staying here and we would love to come back! 10 stars!

During 3 months we travel Australia and New Zealand. We have been at all kinds of accomodation and met many (mostly) kind hosts. Brett and Carmel and their BnB stood out in many ways. We felt home from the first minute.Their house and holiday home are newly built without leaving any detail unconsidered, including your privacy. Everything is really impeccable, nothing has been overlooked.Inside: the fireplace stood out, but that would suggest having two full size bedrooms with their own bathrooms is less importantly great.Outside: big pool, great BBQ and dining area, a fireplace and a hot tub with a view. Because of a very strong chilly mid October wind, we had to leave all of that untouched. But, boy, would we love to come back to enjoy.And then, equally important maybe to Brett and Carmel being the best hosts we ever met: the view, the VIEW, THE VIEW!I think it is clear: I do recommend staying :)Brett and Carmel: THANK YOU for an amazing stay in Te Kao.

This was one of the best places we have ever rented! The unit is attached to the host's house overlooking a lake. The hosts are super friendly and were there for us to respond to every request and inquiry. The inground pool was amazing after a day of hiking. I regret not trying out the hot tub as it looked very inviting. In the unit itself, it was super clean, has a well stocked kitchen, beds are very comfortable, large living room and TV with very cosy couchs. Overall, I would highly recommend this wonderful place to all for a fabulous experience in the North of New Zealand. Gael and Brian (Canada)
