Grew up in Michigan so I'm not a stranger to the wonders of the Great Lakes and all that it entails but I've come to appreciate this fabulous area all the more now that we live farther south in the heat index Capital of the U.S. This wonderful home enveloped us in quiet and cool breezes and easy access to the best beaches in the country. An awesome time was had by all of us - including our two corgis! We went to the dog beach EVERY single morning and it never got old. They had such fun. Downtown Manistee has great shops and eateries. What a wonderful town. The "Manistee Chalet'" gave us everything we needed and eas comfortable and cozy. Hope to be back next year!
