Pluses and Minuses
A large, clean house but one that needed a lot of work. Repeated fixes had to be done to the pool heater, one of the toilets, the garage door opener and the air conditioner. It's a fairly long walk to the beach so we'd suggest purchasing a beach sticker at the local rec center, though it costs $300.

Another day in Paradise
The house was wonderful. It took a while to figure out the light switches. The hot tub was very popular, as the pool was too chilly, even though it was heated. I swam one time. Watching the Sanibel River was intriguing. Staff responded quickly to our calls about light bulbs missing, and damaged stool, and downstairs toilet broken. There was considerable increase in traffic the week of Thanksgiving, which made leaving the driveway very dangerous. We recommended a mirror by the mail box to assist in seeing pedestrians and bikers. My other concern was the lack of furniture on the deck for 8. There was not a Swing, nor multiple chairs. One chair and one love seat. They were quite comfortable, which is a good thing, since that was the main reason I choose this home. Also, the freezer and the built-in Jenn Aire ice machine did not make ice. The dishes and mugs were sparse, as mentioned in a previous review. Overall, we had a great time. We would rent it again.

Wonderful remote work experience
This is a beautiful, spacious property that is a short walk/drive to the beach. My husband and I decided to take advantage of remote work and live somewhere else for a month. We absolutely loved Sanibel and this home and the convenience was just perfect. The house was very nice, beds comfortable, very spacious. The kitchen and master bath were all quite up to date. It was a very big commitment for us to stay somewhere for a month -- because if it's bad, what do you do? The ad for this space did not do it justice because there were such limited photos (only 2 of the 5 bedrooms) had photos. This was a disservice to the property because all the bedrooms were beautiful. I was also concerned heading into the property about the distance from the beach because my college niece and pre-teen kids would be going by themselves when my husband and I were working. There is no information on the website as to beach access and when I asked questions before my stay, I did not get any response except that it was close to the beach. On the map it looks as though there is a good mile walk to get to a public beach access point. Well, good news, what they don't tell you until you arrive is that the property gives you two parking passes to the Sundial Resort which is directly across the street. You can easily walk or drive (with all your beach gear) in a few minutes. It is extremely convenient. The only critique of the property was actually the kitchen supplies. It has very few good coffee cups, drinking glasses or plates. So if you don't want to have to run the dishwasher twice a day, you'll need to buy lots of paper plates. The shelling at Sanibel was gorgeous. We went every evening at low tide and found so many shells that we will have for memories (and have already started doing crafts with). The resort property team was EXTREMELY responsive when we arrived. They helped us figure out how to use the induction stove and get us the parking passes. We had a wonderful monthlong experience and would definitely consider this property again.
