If you enjoy wonderful views across the Bay all the way to Destin, watching fish swim up to your dock, or lounging on a comfy sofa watching TV - this is your vacation home! Elevated on 14 foot pilings, you can walk around the entire house on 2 levels to view the sunset. Enter the open concept first level which include the laundry, living room and 43" TV, Dining Table, Full Kitchen, half bath and an ensuite Queen size bedroom complete with Custom Closet and double headed shower. Walk out the back door to a covered deck outfitted for seating, dining and BBQ. Upstairs find another deck and 2 ensuite bedrooms - one King and the other Queen - both with Custom Closets and double headed showers. You are only 4 miles from the most beautiful beach in the world as well as grocery shopping and dining. This will be one of your favorite places to relax at the end of the day while watching the activity of the bay. Bring your kayak, paddle board or canoe and paddle directly from your private dock to the Bay. The beach is 10 minutes away.

Great House

We had a great stay at this property. It is a gorgeous house in a private area with stunning views. The whole property is fenced, perfect for our pup. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need also. Great house and only about 10 minutes from the beach.

Another great time on the marsh

We had a great time once again! Please pay attention to the listing …the house is now for sale and will probably be shown when you are there. We stayed a month prior and everything was wonderful …I booked again not realizing it was for sale (do not think it was on the listing when I booked the second time but didn’t argue). We were concerned that someone had been on the property while we were gone ; however the owner texted me that evening to let me know she came to water her plants and “to make sure I cleaned up my animal’s poop”. I was quite offended as we left her property one month prior very clean. We were actually just relieved no one was trespassing and it was just the owner. The house was shown twice while we were there and I did ask her to allow us one weekend of peace (we stayed 10 nights) so that we could rent a boat and not be worried about showing the house. The house is wonderful but this time it was very stressful because I felt like I needed to have my phone with me at all times in case someone wanted to show the house. I realize that the owner wants to sale the house ; however, it would have been nice to know prior to arriving instead of just sneaking it in the listing . I felt like a glorified house sitter that was paying for the experience. :) Overall we love the place but if you want to relax with no interruptions this is not the place for you. We had a wonderful time in July but this time was a little crazy.

Great get-a-way

My husband and I rented this beautiful home for six nights. Our 12 year old granddaughter decided to stay with us over the weekend last minute and we had a great time kayaking. We have been kayaking hogtown bayou for years and actually watched this house being built.

About the host

This preservation preserve house was 25 years in the making due to permits and wetland restrictions. My husband designed and built the house acting as General Contractor. To the west of the house are 40 acres of perpetually preserved wetlands that are home to a variety of flora and fauna.

We have traveled extensively in Europe, Great Britain, Mexico, Caribbean and the Mediterranean areas of Greece. Our desire is to make our guests as comfortable as possible and to feel welcome.
