Lovely location with beautiful grounds! I wish we had had more time to stay and enjoy the gardens. Very spacious house and lovely, responsive hosts. The home baked cake was delightful

Thanks for your response Andrew. It has just come to my attention that salt and pepper was taken by the guest before you. Please let me know what other items may have been useful. Many thanks.
I cannot sing Kaylene's praises enough. Very kind and thoughtful host, gave us our space but was available for and question we had. Great local knowledge to help us decide on options for day trips around Bluecliffs, Hauroko or Monowai. As for the house, the peaceful rural setting and those beds ... sooo comfortable!! All 5 of us slept like logs. And the heatpump warmed the house up quickly for those of us from the tropics who were struggling with a bit of a sou'wester. In summary, gem of a stay, with a gem of a host in a gem of a place.
Planned weekend away fell just 2 days after massive storm that resulted in a regional emergency. Host Kaylene was wonderful to deal with and said she would refund us if we were unable to have the holiday (no power at home etc). Wonderful host. Home was toasty warm and welcoming. Spacious rooms, super king beds (x2). Great location to explore the Tuatapere area e.g Hump Ridge, beaches (Gemstone Beach!!), Clifden Caves etc. Highly recommend and we plan to come back. Kaylene delivered a pyrex pie dish so we could make a bacon and egg pie for dinner one night. Nothing was too much trouble.
