We enjoyed the condo. While I did know there wasn’t an elevator, we weren’t quite prepared for how steep and how many stairs there were. Loading and unloading wasn’t fun. The unit was as described. The beds were comfortable. Even the hall twin as I the adult slept on it. We did mop the floor because our feet were black immediately on day one. I do wish the cleaning services in Florida would put more care into floor cleaning. It’s tile, it’s not hard to clean properly and maintain. It is typically a problem in most condos though we had to mop it 6-8 times before the water wasn’t dark. I did communicate with the rental company some before our arrival. They sent me to do information, contracts, check in and out procedures, and such. The access to the beach is just across the street and a short walk as promised. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We're glad Gulf Island 232 - Sunset Suite met your expectations, the beds were comfortable, and the beach access worked well. Sorry the stairs and loading/unloading were more challenging than expected. I also apologize for the floor condition; we’ll address this with our housekeeping team to improve tile cleaning and our pre‑arrival inspections so future guests don’t have to mop repeatedly. We appreciate the feedback and would welcome you back.
We stayed here and it was a great option! Everything was nice and clean, and they had beach gear available to use, which was a huge plus. The only thing to keep in mind is it’s up about 2.5 flights of stairs, so be prepared to be a little out of breath by the time you get to the top. The only minor issue we noticed was that the main shower drain would back up a little while showering. I’m guessing it’s just from all the sand that gets tracked in by guests, so it wasn’t a big deal.Overall, we had a great stay, especially since it was a last-minute booking. We’d definitely stay here again!
The condo is exactly as described. I never took my flipflops off because the floor was pretty gross, but it’s the beach, and I expect some level of yuck. Our only real complaint was the bathroom attached to the bedroom. I stepped it in the first night and never got back in. The shower liner was absolutely disgusting, and the tub was obviously not cleaned after the last guest. Overall, nothing too bad. It did not affect our stay at all. We had a wonderful trip. The kitchen, other bathroom, and living room were all great.
