About this property

Kingsley Lake House | 3 Lounges + Fast WiFi

Summary:

Trade traffic for lakeside calm at Kingsley Lake House, a three-bedroom family home with three living zones, fast Wi-Fi and room for eight. Walk or cycle the Yellagonga Regional Park trails, work from a proper desk, then gather under the large BBQ alfresco. Hillarys Boat Harbour, Joondalup, AQWA and Perth’s northern beaches are within easy reach.

The Space:

THE SPACE

Bright, open-plan living with contemporary furnishings and high ceilings. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, rice cooker and wine glasses, with dining space indoors and out. You get three separate living areas: a main lounge with leather sofas and a 65-inch TV, a sunlit upstairs retreat with lake views, and a rumpus room for the kids. A private front courtyard sits among maintained gardens.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Three large bedrooms hold four beds, and the upstairs rumpus room adds a pull-out couch with its own TV. Plush bedding and fresh linens throughout. Ducted air conditioning upstairs, ceiling fans, and heating for Perth winters. There is a bathtub for the little ones, plus a cot, travel cot, highchair, children's tableware and board games. This is a genuinely family-ready house, not a house that tolerates families.

WORK AND CONNECTIVITY

Reliable 500Mbps WiFi and a dedicated office desk make this a proper work-from-home base in Perth's north. Long-term stays are welcome, and the washing machine, dryer and full kitchen make weeks feel easy, not camped.

OUTDOORS

The large alfresco area has a BBQ, outdoor dining and seating for the whole group, with a backyard behind it. The calm lake beside the property is made for an early paddle, so bring your kayak or paddleboard. Self check-in by keypad, free garage parking on site, and pets are welcome with approval and a fee.

WHAT'S NEARBY

- Lake walking and cycling trails through Yellagonga Regional Park, from the doorstep

- Local shops, cafes and dining in Kingsley and neighbouring Greenwood, about a 5-minute walk to the nearest shopping centre

- Greenwood train station (Joondalup line), around 5 minutes' drive, for an easy rail run into Perth CBD

- Westfield Whitford City shopping and cinemas, about 8 minutes' drive

- Hillarys Boat Harbour: AQWA aquarium, Sorrento Quay dining and the Rottnest Island ferry, around 12 minutes

- Mullaloo Beach and Hillarys' swimming beaches, 12 to 15 minutes

- Joondalup CBD, Lakeside Joondalup shopping centre, ECU Joondalup and Joondalup Health Campus, about 10 minutes, handy for university visits, conferences and medical stays

- Perth CBD, roughly 25 minutes by car or train from Greenwood

- Perth Airport, around 35 minutes' drive

- Swan Valley wineries and breweries, about a 30-minute drive for a day out

PERFECT FOR

Families chasing space in the school holidays, with beaches, AQWA and the lake trails all close. Remote workers and long-stay guests who need real internet and a real desk. Visitors to ECU Joondalup or patients and families near Joondalup Health Campus. Couples who want quiet water views instead of a highway-side apartment.

If you want Perth's beaches, Hillarys and Joondalup within minutes, but a quiet lakeside street to come home to, this is the one. Check your dates and come stay.

Kingsley Lake House is perfectly situated for a stay in Perth, NOR with quick access to the CBD. The house is on a quiet street right next to Lake Goollelal and access to walks through the local woodland with views of the lake and local wildlife. On arrival check-in was easy thanks to the clear instructions provided by our hosts. The house is spacious and inviting and well designed for a family stay. After a long trip it was nice to find a shopping centre located just over the road for a food shop and supplies. The house offers plenty of amenities and multiple living spaces. The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances were easy to operate. One thing I will say is that laundry could benefit from some adjustments - the washing machine does like to travel across the room somewhat on a standard cycle and the dryer is quite temperamental to get started - all easily dealt with once we adjusted to their quirks. A laundry basket of some kind would be a great addition for trafficking wet clothes to the line or dried clothes upstairs.Worth mentioning is that we stayed during the colder season and the downstairs of the house does not have air-con. Upstairs, its absolutely amazing however, but we did need to wrap up during the mornings and evenings downstairs and huddle around the few available radiators. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms well proportioned, however the pillows could do with a refresh. All in all we loved staying here and will be returning in the future.
