Experience the best of the Wairarapa from our tranquil cottage retreat! A
short 20 minute drive from Masterton ( the last 5 mins on a gravel road)
will bring you to our piece of paradise, tucked up against the Tararua
ranges at the end of the picturesque Mikimiki valley.

With many attractions nearby, there is plenty to explore.

Masterton Golden Shears, Castlepoint lighthouse, Pukaha Wildlife Sanctuary, Wairarapa Stonehenge, numerous wineries, deer hunting, tramping, fishing and more.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Hand wash any dishes and leave to drain in the dish rack, or dry and put away.
As the water is supplied via a pump please make sure all taps are turned off or the pump will run continuously.
Please make sure all heaters, fans (including bathroom fan) and air conditioner / heat pump are turned off before leaving. Thank you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No smoking, drugs or vaping inside the cottage.
The cottage has a septic tank. ONLY toilet paper and human waste to be flushed down the toilet. Please wrap tampons, pads etc and place in waste bin
Please NO Coffee grounds, fat, oil or food particles down the kitchen sink as they will block the septic tank. Please place in waste bin.

Couldn't fault anything, it was so easy and comfortable; my partner and I had a wonderful holiday and would be delighted to stay again some time :)

My guests were delighted to spot 2 fallow deer that wandered onto the property during their stay. And they made good use of the woodburner to stay toasty warm when the weather turned cold. I appreciated the cottage being left in immaculate order on their departure.

The host, Linda, welcomed us like old friends. The cottage was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully furnished with comfortable seating, a fully equipped kitchen, quality toiletries, and even a woodstove. Outdoors is a slice of rural heaven--mountains, meadows, a stream, and cottage garden. We spotted a 10-point buck several times in the adjacent woods.
