Quintessential Kiwi Bach - “Cherub”

Slow down and soak up the simple pleasures of Mahia Beach at our little Kiwi bach, “Cherub”.

Cosy, sunny and private, it’s the perfect spot for couples or small families wanting an easy-going getaway where you can relax and unwind.

Enjoy the large, flat section perfect for games, a tent or just stretching out in the sun. A spacious covered outdoor area is ideal for BBQ evenings with friends and family. It’s a 2 minute stroll to the beautiful sandy safe beach where you can go for long walks, sit and read a book or swim in the clear water. The sunsets across the sea are sensational!

In colder weather a log fireplace heats the house up and creates a cosy atmosphere. You can even heat food on top or in its little oven!

There is a full kitchen with stove and oven, large fridge and freezer, microwave and all cooking utensils and basic food essentials.

The bedroom cabin is situated across a small courtyard. It is 6m x 3m and is sunny and roomy.

Guests must bring own sheets, pillowcases and towels - all other bedding is provided.

Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please take ALL rubbish and recycling with you - there is a rubbish collection on Mondays but bags must be bought from Mahia Store. There is a dump and recycling plant in Wairoa (30 mins drive).
Please ensure dishes are washed and benches wiped.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Property was perfect for our trip and had all that we needed to enjoy paradise. Awesome location and lots of room on the property for parking. Friendly neighbours and so close to Mahia Beach. Property was well equipped with dinner wear, cutlery, etc. Would recommend to other users.

We had an amazing time at this cute little haven.Has everything you need and nice to disconnect from screens, as no TV or wifi.Reception was fine with data if you need.Cosy little bach, with seperate cabins for sleeping.Easy entry with a key lock box, instructions were easy to follow and straight forward.Paula was easily contactable by phone, and very responsive.We would definitely stay again if we were in Mahia.We loved the arty little touches around the whare.Our first night we turned of the lights, lit the candles and enjoyed the quietness!The beach is a stones throw away, less than 2 minutes walk.An awesome getaway!!
