Coquun (“kokwon”) Cottage is a luxurious two bedroom cottage nestled beside the Hunter river in the upper Hunter valley, providing an exclusive and tranquil escape.

Featured in Country Style Magazine 2022, Coquun Cottage is an original stockmans cottage recently renovated with quality modern appliances and fixtures and luxury finishes to create a timeless interior.

Located 3.5 hours from Sydney and a beautiful 30 minute drive east of Scone, Coquun Cottage is a perfect weekend getaway.

Coquun Cottage has a luxurious open plan living, dining and kitchen decorated with a balance of antique and modern furniture to create a sense of luxury within the country.

Both bedrooms contain queen sized beds with linen from luxury Australian manufacturer Hale Merchantile. The main bedroom opens out to the garden directly through double French doors, providing beautiful site lines from the bed and lounging area within the room. Bedroom two has luscious garden views and a walk in robe, also adjacent to the private reading nook and winter study space.

The main bathroom is clad with Italian travertine and ceramic tiles creating a warm and calming environment. Underfloor heating, Aesop amenities and brass fixtures can be found in the space with the addition of luxurious 100% cotton towels and plush towelling bath robes.

We have provided a laundry with premium appliances, fittings and fixtures with an included powder room for our guest’s convenience.

Outside, Coquun Cottage has plenty of space for living and entertaining with a wood burning fire pit with surrounding chairs and outdoor dining and sitting areas. The abundance of wildlife and surrounding sounds of nature and the Hunter river will draw you outside regardless of the season.
