I loved the home and the grounds. My dog was allowed to run free and safe, and I loved the solitude. Becky and Tom could not have been better hosts. I felt like I was visiting friends. Got to see deer, elk and moose close up.

So glad you enjoyed your stay, as that is our intention. Not only do we provide a safe, clean place to stay, but being helpful is also important to us. Traveling is stressful enough, so we make sure we help out in any way we can! Come back any time you are traveling through our beautiful area.
We had such a wonderful stay here! The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area—they’re very responsive if you need anything, which made everything so easy. The house itself is spotless, much larger than expected, and equipped with a fully stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. The location is unbeatable, with quick access to the mountains and surrounded by nature. We loved watching the squirrels, deer, and birds right outside—it felt so peaceful. What made this place extra special is the owners' connection to Wyoming and the property itself. It felt like we got to experience a little piece of Wyoming’s history while staying here! In addition, the owners welcomed our dog in the fully fenced yard and let us give their friendly llama treats! Highly recommend staying here if you visit the area.

Thank you for the kind review! Our goal is to provide a beautiful space and a comforting stay. Our place is to be shared & we love seeing others enjoying life, however that looks for them. So happy you all enjoyed yourself, and loved seeing your dog running around. Please come back & stay longer!
Roadtripped from Colorado with a large group of friends. It was a long journey but this property made it very much worth it. When planning to be in town to celebrate my wifes birthday, digging for fossils in Kemmerer, i found this house because it was large enough for the entire group to be comfortable, but was overjoyed with the amenities and hospitality. The house has a well stocked and spacious kitchen, a beautiful wraparound porch and wonderful views of stars at night. We enjoyed the eclectic collection of antique furniture, feeding the friendly llama just past the backyard fence and walking through a meadow to a lovely creek where we soaked our feet after the dig. This was such a special trip, we intend to make it an annual adventure. Becky is so easy to work with, she provided everything we could ask for and made us feel like family. Excited for next year!

Thank you for the great review! It was such a pleasure to have your group come stay with us. We enjoyed the dogs & the highlight was that you found some fossils! We hope you do make it an annual vacation, and we will do everything we can to make it better & better each time.
When I looked for a decent, quiet place to spend the night on a long trip from Colorado to southern Oregon, I never suspected I would end up in a sprawling, luxuriously appointed home that felt like a palace in the remote country! What a special place this was. It is enormous, allowing so much space between travelers that privacy to luxuriate in the blissful quiet is effortless. The large kitchen provided every implement and necessity I could possibly desire, the beds were very comfortable, the garden bathtub an unheard-of luxury, and the hosts as warm and welcoming as anyone could wish. A friendly alpaca and burro to feed treats to was a fun bonus! I wished we could stay longer, and if I am ever in that part of the country again, that's definitely where I'll stay if I can.

Awww....that is music to my ears! From the day we started remodeling the house, our intention was to do exactly what you described in your review. We love going above & beyond bringing Serenity to our guests. We know traveling is not easy, and a quiet place to rest is so important. Thank you so much for the great review, I am so glad our efforts reflect your view of our cozy place.
I was passing through and needed a place to stay for the night, but I really wish I had stayed longer. I had two dogs with me so it was super beneficial that they had a massive yard. The driveway was nice and spacious, so pulling in with the truck was a breeze. The hosts greeted me at the door and they were the two most lovely couples. I almost feel bad that I got in rather late and left extremely early the next day.
The house itself is nicely decorated with antiques, and it has a 1800's, Bavarian feel with large sloped ceilings, stucco walls, open concept, and hand made furniture. This would be perfect for a large family, or a family reunion, as there is plenty of space for kids to run around, there are multiple rooms, and more furniture than one could ever want.
There are other little things that impressed me more than I thought it would. The carpet, for example, was super soft, which is a welcomed reprieve from my usual urban center, hardwood flooring. The tub in the master bedroom was open to the bedroom, and it too had the same soft carpet. I know I am sounding like a broken record here, but it was really neat to see that old style bathroom tub. There is also this chair in front of the makeup counter in the bathroom, again, a throwback to the 70's style homes.
The area is also gorgeous, and you can go on all sorts of hikes. The locals appear to be animal lovers, as most in the country side are, and you will see many of them out walking their dogs in the morning.

Thank you so much for the great, detailed review! It is music to my ears hearing how much you enjoyed the house & it's surroundings. We pride ourselves in bringing "Serenity" to everyone, thus naming this beautiful house the "Serenity House" & I am so glad it showed up for you during your stay. We loved seeing your dogs running through the snow & feeling free, as our property is completely fenced and gated in all 3 acres. It is pure Heaven for the guests and their animal companions. We wish you could of stayed longer of course, but we are always here, open 365 days a year, so next time you are driving on I-80, we are only 15 miles away! Hope to see you again sometime in the future!
About the host

The Serenity House is my family’s home that my husband and I lovingly remodeled and converted into a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming retreat center to share with others. My grandma homesteaded Southeast, and my great-grandma homesteaded Southwest in the 1800’s, only a few miles away. This place holds much history which you can see through-out the property and house. The house showcases many antiques and its decor is ALL Wyoming, making it a perfect place to go back to simpler times. Being family oriented, the house has a room with a custom cradle and crib, playground, and a small petting zoo. The property is all fenced in, creating a safe environment for the whole family. Our intention is that everyone who visits gets their own "serenity" in their own way and leaves a more calmer, peaceful person!
