About the host

I grew up on beautiful Kangaroo Island and went to school in Parndana. My family runs a sheep and cattle farm, so the island has always been home and very close to my heart.
These days I live in Perth, but we’re lucky to have a wonderful local caretaker couple who look after Eagles Nest for us. They know the property well and are nearby to help if you need support during your stay.
We love sharing this special part of Kangaroo Island and hope you enjoy the peace, beauty and privacy as much as we do.

Why they chose this property
What I love most about this area is the sense of complete escape. It’s wonderfully remote, with breathtaking coastal views, wide open skies and an incredible feeling of privacy. The weather is often beautiful and mild, perfect for slowing down and truly unwinding.
Wildlife is part of everyday life here — koalas resting in the trees, kangaroos and wallabies moving through the landscape, echidnas wandering past, and eagles soaring overhead alongside abundant birdlife. It’s peaceful, natural and untouched, yet the accommodation itself offers a quiet sense of luxury, where comfort meets the raw beauty of Kangaroo Island.

What makes this property unique
What makes our property truly special is its location. There are very few accommodations at this western end of Kangaroo Island, which means guests enjoy a rare sense of privacy and untouched natural beauty. The area feels wonderfully secluded without feeling isolated — a place where nature still leads the way.
The property overlooks a pristine private beach with beautiful white sand, perfect for swimming, fishing, beach walks, picnics and simply soaking up the coastal scenery. It’s peaceful, unspoilt and incredibly scenic, offering a genuine escape from crowds and everyday life.
Eagles Nest is all about experiencing the raw beauty of Kangaroo Island while enjoying comfort, space and quiet luxury in one of the island’s most exclusive and unspoiled locations.
