The Miners Retreat, Waiorongomai

Our Miners Retreat is clad stained rough sawn cedar, whilst the garage is tin - a throw back to the mining area of the region.

Sit in the morning sun with coffee and listen to the bird life in the bush come awake.
Warning - at times cows will be grazing in the paddock and may come up to you at the fence. The cows are not tame but are friendly and curious enough to pat.

Sit and chat to the chef while preparing dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. All crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, bowls, drinking and wine glasses are provided. Enjoy a Nespresso from the machine.

Bathed in warmth from our timber clad interior makes our living area homely and cosy. Snuggle up to watch a good movie on the smart TV in the sheepskin bean bag or simply sit and enjoy the views.

The garage - tall enough to park a campervan, also contains the laundry and sleepout and is connected to the cottage by a flyway where the outdoor shower is located.
