Island-Themed Tiny Homes in the Texas Hill Country
Welcome to Tiny Islands Resort, a one-of-a-kind collection of six island-inspired tiny homes tucked away on four peaceful acres in Blanco, Texas. Thoughtfully designed to feel like a passport-free getaway, this boutique retreat lets you choose your favorite island vibe—or reserve the entire property for an unforgettable group stay. With room for up to 24 guests, it’s ideal for family reunions, corporate retreats, milestone celebrations, or friends traveling together who want privacy with a shared sense of place.
Each of the six tiny homes features the same smart, efficient layout while offering its own distinct décor and personality inspired by a different island destination: Aruba, Canary, Iceland, Kauai, Madagascar, and Santorini. While the footprints are compact, every home is designed to feel intentional, comfortable, and full of character.
Inside each tiny home, the first bedroom is tucked into a cozy sleeping nook next to the kitchen and beneath the lofted living area. This space features a queen-sized mattress on the floor and is designed purely for rest, with low ceilings that make it a snug, cocoon-like retreat rather than a standing room. A window across from the bed brings in natural light and peaceful outdoor views. The second bedroom is located above the bathroom and accessed by a ladder, offering another queen-sized mattress on the floor, a bit more space, and a window, though ceilings remain low here as well, staying true to the authentic tiny-home experience.
The bathroom sits opposite the kitchen and includes a walk-in shower, with select homes offering special design touches such as vessel sinks, bold cabinetry, or accent walls that tie into each island’s theme. The long kitchenette is efficient and well-equipped for simple meals and snacks, featuring a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and bar seating for two.
Above the first bedroom, each home opens into a lofted living room accessed by a short staircase. This space is the heart of every tiny home and is tall enough for average-height adults to stand comfortably. Each living area includes a full-sized sofa, wall-mounted streaming TV, and carefully curated décor that brings its island theme to life. Aruba bursts with playful color and tropical flair, Canary feels laid-back and modern, Iceland is warm and textural with Nordic influences, Kauai channels lush island calm, Madagascar is rich and earthy with global character, and Santorini stuns with bold cobalt blues and gold accents.
Outdoors, every tiny home enjoys its own private fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a matching picnic table, and a charcoal grill, perfect for relaxed evenings under the stars when burn bans allow. The property sits along the banks of a wet-weather creek and is surrounded by wide-open skies, making it exceptional for stargazing and wildlife sightings. Dogs are welcome to join the adventure and must remain leashed while outside.
Tiny Islands Resort is set in a rural Hill Country location that feels secluded yet remains close to local favorites. Guests are just minutes from Blanco Square, the Hill Country Lavender Farm, beloved dance halls, and countless opportunities for hiking, swimming, fishing, antiquing, dining, and exploring the charm of the Texas Hill Country.
Whether you’re booking one tiny home for a unique couples’ escape or reserving the entire resort for a shared island-inspired experience, Tiny Islands Resort offers a stay that’s playful, memorable, and unlike anywhere else. Please note that these are true tiny homes, and bedroom ceilings are low by design, adding to the cozy, tucked-away charm that defines the experience.
